Mousses plastiquesIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : In automation and machine tool applications, carbon fibre-reinforced composite materials can offer significant productivity, quality and lifecycle cost benefits. Yet their adoption in the manufacturing sector has been relatively slow. In part, this can be attributed to design engineers that are unfamiliar with the properties of composites, underestimating their benefits while overestimating the cost and complexity of their application ; and to some extent, there has been a natural reluctance to change from what is perceived as established manufacturing methods to a new way of machine design and construction. Matières plastiques -- Extrusion -- Appareils et matérielsIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Due to its high impregnation quality, the injection box (I-box) is gradually replacing the resin bath process that has been established for decades. However, due to a lack of design guidelines, the design of I-boxes has so far been based on the experience of the individual user. In a research project, the IKV has developed practical design criteria. Note de contenu : - Functioning principles of the i-box
- Development of manufacturing and design parameters
- Characterization of the flow field and impregnation quality
- The colored fluid visualizes the flow
