The superhydrophilic terpolymer poly(DMHB-SPP-HEA), denoted as PDSH, was synthesized through aqueous solution polymerization. PDSH-coated SSMMs (PDSH-SSMMs) were achieved by successive dip-coating of the commercial SSMMs into polyvinyl alcohol, divinyl sulfone (DVS), and PDSH solutions. The DVS layer and PDSH solution were crosslinked through DVS chemistry to enhance the hydrophilicity and provide a number of unique properties, such as antimicrobial activity, antifouling ability, and oil–water separation capability. Two different PDSH-SSMMs, PDSH0-SSMM and PDSH5-SSMM, were prepared and characterized using FTIR, SEM, and contact angle measurement (CAM). The antimicrobial activity, bovine serum albumin (BSA) fouling, and oil–water separation performance were evaluated simultaneously. The results indicate that PDSH0-SSMM is an excellent oil–water separation membrane for long-term separation, together with its extra antimicrobial and antifouling properties. It is promising for the industrialization of multi-functional membranes through this facile and environmentally friendly strategy. Terpolymère styrène anhydride maléïqueIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : We directly measured the local composition profiles in phase-separating photocurable thin films using confocal Raman spectroscopy. To avoid light scattering at phase interfaces, we developed a novel technique to replace the solvent with a monomer to match the reflective indices in the cured films. The results indicated that the concentration distribution of the polymer was uniform in solvent-free monomer/initiator binary solutions, while it was spatially nonuniform when the solvent-based films were thermodynamically unstable and promoted reaction-induced phase separation upon UV irradiation on the top surface. In the latter case, the film exhibited a dual-layer structure, in which the polymer concentration was almost uniform near the top surface, while concentration gradients developed near the bottom surface. The thickness of the top layer with a uniform concentration profile increased with the increase in the UV light intensity. These results implied that the propagation of the reaction front and the resulting light-driven transport of the solvent toward the bottom coating layer played key roles in the formation of nonuniform concentration profiles in photocuring solution coatings. Sulfurique, AcideIndex. décimale : 675.2 Préparation du cuir naturel. Tannage Résumé : Dechroming is essential for utilization of chromium-containing leather wastes. Strong hydrolysis conditions favour breaking of the Cr and collagen linkage, but lead to a high degree of hydrolysis of the collagen se that the separation of chromium from the gelatinous hydrolysates becomes difficult. In this research, a mild acid-alkali alternate treatment of the waste with hydrolysis assistants was investigated, so as to develop a technology that has high dechroming level and low hydrolysis degree of collagen. A satisfactory dechroming method with four steps was finally obtained and the reaction conditions for each step were optimized as follows. Step 1 — waste in the solution with 2g1L NaOH and 40g/L urea {hydrolysis assistant) was stirred for 0.5 hours at 40°C. Step 2 — waste in 50g/L sulfuric acid solution was stirred for 1 heur at 40°C. Step 3 — waste in 40 g/L Cap% suspension was stirred for 2 hour at 30°C. Step 4 — waste in 50g/L suffuric acid solution was stirred for 1 hour at 30°C. With this method, total extent of the dechroming of the waste was higher Chan 97% while the hydrolysis degree of collagen was lower than 10%. This method is successfully applied to the simultaneous identification and quantitative determination of glycolic, lactic, malic, tartaric and citric acids employing a reversed phase narrow-bore column under isocratic condition and UV detection. The method is validated by determining the precision of replicate analyses and accuracy by analyzing samples with and without adding know amount of the alpha-hydroxy acids. The procedure is suitable for routine analyses of commercial cosmetics.
