Machines agricolesIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Current fertiliser production plants are very complex with individual units operating at various parameter e.g. temperatures and pressures etc. The corrosion in fertiliser industries are primarily due to corrosive nature of chemicals used as raw materials in the production of fertilizers. There has been substantial increase in the expenditure of fertilizer industries in the last decade which has caused a huge corrosion. Furthermore, many commercial chemicals are used on farm lands, grain and silage preservatives, pests and weed control, and as proprietary acid solutions for cleaning dairy equipment. In addition to these, farm wastes and slurries contain many chemicals. On the whole, these various chemicals frequently damage farm ing machinery and ancillary structures. The two basic reasons of replacing the equipment or machinery are either to upgrade the old one or two replace them due to their wear and tear (corrosion). The aim of this article is to find suitable solutions to corrosion occurring in the fertilizer industries and to the agricultural equipments. OrganosilanesIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Effective protection in challenging conditions - Agricultural and construction machines have to withstand tough conditions and must function effectively over long periods. Alongside a high-quality surface finish, the cost-effectiveness and flexibility of the pre-treatment system are playing an increasingly important role. New phosphate-free systems that can be used with a variety of metals meet all these market requirements. Note de contenu : - Providing the best possible longterm protection in the field
- Organosilane-based thin film technology
- Modular structure for effective corrosion protection

Traîtements de surfaceIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Agricultural and construction machines operate in very tough conditions. Alongside a high-quality surface finish, the cost-effectiveness and flexibility of the pre-treatment system are playing an increasingly important role. A newly developed, phosphate-free process that can be used with a variety of metals provides excellent long-term protection for machinery and vehicles. Note de contenu : - The finish produced by the new process is comparable to orbetter than that of iron phosphating on a range of substrates
- Fig. 1 - In the agricultural and construction equipment industry, a newly developed technology contributes to significantly simplifying the pretreatment process
- Fig. 2 - In the salt spray test, the pre-treatment process produces very good results when combined with a variety of paints and substrates : a) Mono-layer liquid paint, tested on a production line for agricultural and construction equipment - b) Polyurethane wet paint, lab test - c) Powder paint, tested at a job coaterPermalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=23935

Revêtements poudreIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : The EU regulation on the CO2 emissions of new cars sets out the targets for the average new car fleet across Europe to achieve 95g/km by 2020. The challenge is to reduce the weight of vehicles to meet the EU CO2 emissions targets without incurring a cost penalty and, ideally, achieving cost savings. The business opportunity is to implement technologies and design solutions to deliver vehicle weight savings that are market ready for 2020. Major weight savings can be achieved by replacing conventional materials with composite materials. Composites can reduce vehicle weight, increase fuel efficiency and improve power-to-weight ratios, leading to an overall better performance.
