It is some considerable time since the monosandwich method consisted in simply filling the core of a part with low-cost recycled materials. The use of optionally reinforced or foamed core material gives the part high rigidity and sound- and vibration-damping properties. For the skin, visually appealing materials with pleasant tactile properties are available. Note de contenu : - Passing the Dakar rally endurance test
- Cold runner technology is the only limitation
- Improved flexural strength combined high optical quality
- Silent, well-shielded parts
- Using valuable regrind, saving on virgin resin
- Reproducing complex geometries

Polyéthylène téréphtalateIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : PET recyclates from different materials and colors pose big challenges for recyclers. Together with the University of Applied Sciences Magdeburg-Stendal, Germany, MultiPet GmbH is researching into injection-moldable blends that can be used to produce high-quality multi structured injection-molded parts from mixed PET. Only in the area of recycled clear PET samples the desired property profile was not achieved. Note de contenu : - Which problems the processing of mixed pet fractions entails
- Desired technical functionality
- Sampling and characterization
- Expansion of the recyclables chain and processing
- After injecting the test rods, analysis and optimization follows
- In the practical test, the rpet blend with polycarbonate performs best

Traction (mécanique)Index. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Foam injection molding already saves material. But what about using post-consumer recyclate instead of virgin material to reduce the carbon footprint even further? KraussMaffei, together with the University of Schmalkalden, Germany, has investigated this question particularly with respect to what it means for the mechanical part properties. Note de contenu : - Are the negative influences cumulative ?
- Determination of tensile strength
- Determination of flexural strength and impact strength
- Investigation of the electrical properties
