This article will detail efforts to move away from the use of threshold tests towards a reliability-based method fot predicting the service life of sealants. The first task in this approach will be the demonstration that data from both monitored outdoor exposure and controlled indoor exposure predicts the same service life. These efforts will test both adhesive and cohesive failure of the sealant formulations. In both the indoor and outdoor exposures, the sealant will be exposed to cyclically interrelated deformation, humidity, UV flux ans temperature. Note de contenu : - Reliability-based models

- le modèle poupée russe: les plans de graphène sont arrangés en cylindres concentriques ;

Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Stretchable strain sensors have drawn plenty of attention due to their importance and necessity in high-technology areas. In this study, we fabricated a series of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) film-based stretchable strain sensors with a conductive hybrid sensing layer of reduced graphene oxide (RGO) and multiwalled carbon nanotubes (CNT) by simple coating methods. Meanwhile, we developed a kind of roughening method based on wet phase separation to form interpenetrating micropores on the surface of the TPU film, which overcomes the sliding and overlapping of the RGO/CNT sensing layer by improving the mechanical interlocking between the hybrid sensing layer and the elastic substrate. Owing to the improved adhesion between the sensing layer and the elastomeric substrate, the stretchable sensor shows good sensitivity (gauge factor (GF) = 75 at 50% strain), linearity (logarithmic GF = 10 during 0–50% strain), and stability (more than 1000 stretching–releasing cycles at a strain of 50%). These high performances suggest the potential application of our strain sensor in the detection of human body movements, personal health monitoring, and other kinds of human–machine interfaces. Résistance à la tractionIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Although fluor-homopolymers already have high performance properties, they are difficult to modify selectively. This is due to the extremely stable chemical bonding of the polymer, which impedes the cohesion to additives. A new type of filler strengthens the bond between particles and plastic. Vibrations (mécanique)Index. décimale : 620.11 Matériaux (propriétés, résistance) Résumé : The present study comprises of different types of cored sandwich structures with different core geometries. A combination of materials of skins and cores were considered to investigate the free vibrational or modal behaviour on the core materials and geometries for the structure for illuminating the vibrational aspects for failures. Subsequently, the deformation for sandwich structures with various core geometries and materials was also studied. The objective of the article is to provide an essence of vibrational performance study of aluminium alloy for both skins, and the results were compared among core materials unlike materially configured sandwich structures of honeycomb core. Simulations of mode shapes were obtained using the free vibrational constraints. From this study, it was obtained that, two types of core geometries strictly imply that there is obvious effect of shape of core in sandwich beam vibrational characteristics of structure, as in the study. Lastly, the results obtained by using honeycomb core geometry of certain material was compared to regular rectangular geometrized core and found to have better results in terms of natural frequencies and maximum deformation of the later. Thus, findings may serve as a case for application of similar structures in engineering applications. Note de contenu : - THEORETICAL MODAL ANALYSIS
