Fibres textiles synthétiques -- Applications industriellesIndex. décimale : 677.4 Textiles artificiels Résumé : Acrylic fiber is a mature product that remains alive due to its unusual versatility. The Portuguese company Fisipe S.A, Lavradio, produces acrylic fibers with special touch, low pilling, raw white easy to dye and dyed fiber. To produce these fibers the company studied the process and started to control it from the raw material (ACN) until the final product, the fiber. This capabiity creates opportunities to develop technical fibers for sectors like the company has different types of technical fibers in the product portfolio, such as Pulp+, Binder+, Asphal+, Filter+ - acrylic fibers with and without crimping, high tenacity available with different finishes depending on its application. ProductionIndex. décimale : 677.4 Textiles artificiels Résumé : Since the late 1980s, producers and consumers have favored PET - polyethylenterephthalate - for bottles. These bottles come with the distinctive advantages of being lightweight and almost unbreakable. However, the success generates the new challenge of coping with billions of discarded bottles each year. In many regions of the world recycled is more than 75%. However, unfortunately there are also regions with recycling rates not exceeding 15%. Recycling in Asia is widespread because especially entrepreneurs in China recognized early that PET bottles are a valuable raw material. Using recycled polyester flakes offers numerous advantages: the economical aspect (flakes are cheaper than virgin chips) and the sustainability/good image aspect (green label) are to be mentioned among them. Polyfluorure de vinylidèneIndex. décimale : 677.4 Textiles artificiels Résumé : In order to produce PVDF nanofibrous membrane with high performance, the electrospinning process is discussed in this study. The orthogonal experiments were performed and SEM images and fiber diameter were obtained. Finally, the optimum process of electrospinning was obtained: PVDF concentration = 12wt.%, mass ratio of DMF to acetone = 8/2, distance between the needle tip and the collector = 12cm and flow rate = 10ml/h. ViscoseIndex. décimale : 677.4 Textiles artificiels Résumé : Fiber finishes have a significant impact on the overall performance of a fiber in the downstream process and fiber finish development is a complex challenge due to the large variety of fiber types, polymer types and the ongoing development of yarn spinning processes.
The considerable differences in yarn spinning technologies lead to different profiles for the spin finish systems. Levaco offers for each process the tailor-made product with Lucraspin V-R, V-OE and V-MVS. Everybody is aware of the higher complexity in production and logistics when using different finishes for each yarn type. However the advantages outweigh the disadvantages by bringing an improved performance from higher value viscose fiber.Note de contenu : - Fig. 1. Dynamic fiber/metal friction

MicrofibresIndex. décimale : 677.4 Textiles artificiels Résumé : A stainless steel disc around 4 mm thick, is illuminated by a bright green beam of laser light. With high energy, the ultra-short-pulsed laser beam bores into the surface of the metal repeatedly, until a large number of hales have been made. What is produced at the Institute of Laser Technologies (IFSW) at the University of Stuttgart/Germany is the result of a joint research project together with the Instituts of Textile Chemistry and Chemical Fibers (ITCF) in Denkendorf/Germany: spinnerets with a diameter of 30-40 pm, much finer than a human hair, which are utilized in the production of ultra-fine cellulose fibers, or so-called micro- or supermicrofibers.
Microfibers which are made of different polymers finer than 1 dtex, that corresponds to 1 g per 10,000 m of fiber length. Supermicrofibers are fibers whose fineness is even less than 0.3 dtex. The diameter of such fibers is approx. 3 pm. Due to their large surface area, such fibers are particularly suitable for use in the fields of hygiene and medicine, due to the high moisture absorption capacity and the soft handle of textile products made from them. They are also effectively utilized within the industrial sector as technical textiles, for example in filters, as they are fine and extremely strong.Note de contenu : - New ways of producing microfibers
