RetannageIndex. décimale : 675.2 Préparation du cuir naturel. Tannage Résumé : The retanning process plays an important role in optimizing the leather’s colour, levelness, softness, fullness, and hydrophobicity. Polymer retanning agents are important materials for this process. The present study used maleic anhydride modified castor oil (MCO), PEG1000 (polyethylene glycol) and IPDI (isophorone diisocyanate) as main materials to synthesize polyurethane microemulsions (MC-PURs) and employed them to retan chrometanned leathers. The hydroxyl functionality of MCO was investigated by chemical and 1HNMR analysis, and confirmed to be about 2.0. The chemical structures of MCO, prepolymer and MC-PUR were characterized by IR.
The optimized synthesis formulation and polyurethane microemulsion MC-PUR3 for MC-PURs as retanning agent was selected by comparing the properties of retanned leathers, such as softness, fullness, grain tightness, tensile strength, extension at break, depth of shade, waterproof properties et al. Then, MC-PUR3 was characterized by means of DSC, TG/DTG and TEM techniques. SEM microgram of MC-PUR3 retanned leather shows that the fibres are well dispersed.Note de contenu : - EXPERIMENTAL PROCEDURES : Materials - Preparation of maleic anhydride modified castor oil (MCO) - Preparation of microemulsions of polyurethane filling retanning agents (MC-PURs) - Determination of molecular weight - H n.m.r. spectroscopy - Purification - FT-IR spectroscopy - Differential scanning spectroscopy - Thermo-gravimetric analysis - Transmission electron microscope analysis - Measurement of final dyebath exhaustion - Physical and waterproofness properties of leathers - Organoleptic properties of the final leathers - Scanning electron microscopic analysis

Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 667.3 Teinture et impression des tissus Résumé : In this study the dyeing method of a sulphur black dye containing carboxylic acid groups on cotton was investigated. A dip–pad–bake dyeing process was applied and dyeing conditions were examined in detail. Thermal gravimetric analysis was used to determine both the baking temperature and the dehydrant selection. Fastness properties of the sulphur black dye containing carboxylic acid groups were tested. It is concluded that the sulphur black dye not only has good dyeing performance, but also possesses good fastness properties. Teinture -- Fibres textilesIndex. décimale : 667.3 Teinture et impression des tissus Résumé : A new kind of hetero-bifunctional reactive dye containing 2-ethoxy-4-chloro-s-triazine, with better activity matching with β-hydroxyethyl sulphone sulphate at a low fixation temperature, was successfully synthesised and characterised. An ethoxy group was designed to be introduced into triazine to increase the substantivity and the reactivity of the dyes. Thereby, the fixation of mono-s-chlorotriazine/hydroxyethyl sulphone sulphate (KM-type) bifunctional reactive dyes on cotton was improved, and dyeing under mild conditions with high fixation was realised. Nineteen dyes with orange, red and blue colours were synthesised and characterised by UV-Vis and infrared spectroscopy and mass spectrometry. Synthesised dyes were dyed at 60, 75 and 90°C, respectively. Exhaustion and reactivity for all of the ethoxy-containing KM-type dyes was over 90% at the optimal temperature, and fixation was over 87%, which was higher than the ethoxy-free comparative dyes. The optimal fixation temperature of ethoxy-containing dyes was initially reduced to 75°C, and then to 60°C. Compared with comparative dyes, the wash fastness and light fastness were basically unchanged, and the wet rub fastness of the H-acid series was reduced by one grade. TriphénodioxazineIndex. décimale : 667.3 Teinture et impression des tissus Résumé : A novel phosphorus‐containing acid dye based on triphendioxazine was designed and synthesised from diphenylamine through a series of reactions. The dye has a navy-blue colour, high molar extinction coefficient of 5.32 × 104 l/mol·cm, and high substantivity for dyeing wool in a salt-free, aqueous dyebath. A high exhaustion value of 98.2% on wool fabrics was recorded at 3% omf and a liquor ratio of 1:20. The wash fastness values of the acid dye, including colour change and staining on cotton and wool, were grades 5, 4 and 4–5, respectively. The dry and wet fastness are grades 4–5 and 4, respectively. In addition, light fastness reaches grades 6–7 at 3% omf dye concentration. These dye properties are better than those of commercial triphendioxazine dyes, for example, CI Direct Blue 106 and CI Reactive Blue 198, under analogous dyeing conditions. Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 667.3 Teinture et impression des tissus Résumé : 1-Phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolonyl azo-anthraquinone dyes having high light fastness on polylactide fibres were synthesised from 1-aminoanthraquinone via a diazotisation-coupling reaction with 1-phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolones. The structures of these new dyes were confirmed using mass spectrometry, infrared and proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and combustion analyses. Their dyeing behaviour on polylactide fibres was also determined, whereupon it was found that the title dyes could be applied at a relatively low dyeing temperature and that the corresponding dyed fabrics had good fastness properties.
