Evaluation
Revêtements en phase aqueuse -- Additifs:Peinture en phase aqueuse -- AdditifsIndex. décimale : 667.6 Peintures Résumé : Microbial protection of water-based paints is a challenge. Consumers expect the paints they purchase to have a long shelf life. Most consumers expect paint products to be free of microorganisms until the final drop of the paint is used. There are no silver bullets to guarantee in-can protection, especially considering that paint companies have no control over how their paints are stored after purchase. Assessing likely uses and constantly evaluating plant hygiene will help formulators looking for the optimal bocide combination for their in-can preservation. Note de contenu : - More water, more contamination
- Paint components
- Why is in-can preservation more important than ever ?
- What are the consequences of improper antimicrobial protection ?
- Existing biocides
- How do you choose the right in-can preservative ?
- Characteristics of in-can preservatives

Revêtements -- DétériorationIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : All current procedures for identifying bacteria that degrade paints use culturing and this procedure may bias the results. Attempts were therefore made to identify bacterial species directly fro their DNA. Detailed identification was obtained from a contaminated and degraded paint sample, but components of undegraded paint may interfere with the test procedure. Développement durable
Revêtements:PeintureIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : There has been a trend for some time now in the paint and coatings industry for the supply of environmentally friendly product solutions and for sustainability in product development and the manufacture of modern coating systems. A publication by the Wissenschaftliche Dienste des Deutschen Bundestages (scientific services of the German Bundestag) from 2004 describes the so-called threepillar model of sustainable development which is based on the idea that sustainable development is only achievable if environmental, social economic and social effectiveness of a society. The three aspects are mutually interdependent. Note de contenu : - Conventional identification of micro-organisms
- Culture-independent identification of bacterial communities
- Direct DNA isolation from contaminated products
- Isolated DNA can be identified by DGGE
