Coupage au jet d'eauIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : The applicability of composite materials in primary aircraft parts initially depended on the availability of automated manufacturing processes. Now that composites fly, industrialization has to be propagated to bonded repairs, starting with machining steps that are currently conducted by hand. Unexpectedly, the only robot qualified for this task uses an abrasive waterjet cutting system. Note de contenu : - The first portable repair robot

Colorants
Cuirs et peaux -- Teinture
Systèmes de dosageIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : Over the fast 25 years the demand for consistent leather dyeing has been growing. Consistency in shade from batch to batch, within a batch and across a single hide has become a must for quality assurance and a necessity for quality finishing. The demands of fashion have also Brown so that tanneries have to cover many more colours at one rime in their production.
In the early 1980s, some chemical companies introduced special liquid dyes for drum dyeing. These ranges offered certain advantages to tanners and have increased in use. The dyes are usually from a selected chemical clans, have similar and compatible dyeing properties, and some, enable a vide range of colours to be produced from a small product range.
This means economic benefits to the leather manufacturer, who is able to reduce the inventory of dyes, whilst covering most of the needs of his customer.
Other advantages offered by liquid dyes included the convenience of handling, transport in containers, and less exposure by the workforce to air borne dye particles. The residual content of dye in 'empty' containers was also avoided with all of these points making high contributions towards die Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH).Note de contenu : - Automatic dispensing of dye solutions

Presses à injecterIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : One-touch operation. Process integration and automation are crucial to increasing efficiency in injection molding production. At the same time, however, they are making manufacturing processes more and more complex, which poses a huge challenge to the interface between operator and machine. It’s intelligent solutions that are required if complicated processes are to be mastered as easily and as reliably as their simple counterparts. Note de contenu : - Ergonomics - the first instance of contact with the machine
- One-touch operation
- Navigation instead of confusion - components vs. task orientation

ProductivitéIndex. décimale : 668.3 Adhésifs et produits semblables Résumé : The Gibson Box Co. has produced corrugated pallets, build-ups and other packaging products since 1999, but company President David Gibson would turn back the clock four years if he could. That is when Gibson first considered purchasing its recently acquired Haeco engineered gluing system (EGS). The automated EGS has dramatically boosted the company’s bottom line, cutting gluing operations labor by 80% and reducing glue usage by two-thirds.
"I kick myself for not doing this sooner", says Gibson. "As the economy tightens, we have to keep a close eye on labor costs, and adhesive costs continue to rise as well. The EGS has helped us control both, and customers are commenting on the high quality of our work. This machine is a tremendous asset".En ligne : http://www.adhesivesmag.com/articles/92563-case-study-corrugated-converter-stick [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Web Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=20881

Together with an automatic powder booth, a powder recovery system, spray guns and other components, it forms the basis for a fully automated powder coating facility. Note de contenu : - Automation leads to high levels of system availability
- Consistently high coating quality
- Cutting production costs
