Matières plastiques -- DéchetsIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Sustainability is an extremely complex concept to fully grasp, but brands are becoming more adept at communicating the messages effectively.
New data has revealed that almost threequarters of UK consumers (71%) do not think brands and retailers are doing enough to make their beauty and personal care purchases more sustainable. They also identified plastic waste as the main culprit – around half (46%) see it as the biggest sustainability challenge facing the industry.Note de contenu : - What do consumers want to see ?

Son objectif est de produire des biens et services tout en limitant fortement la consommation et le gaspillage des matières premières, et des sources d'énergies non renouvelables ;

Recyclage (déchets, etc.)Index. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Natural phenomena (volcanic eruptions, sandstorms, forest fires, etc.) and human activities (industries, transport, agriculture, residential heating, etc.) lead to the emission of gases and fine particles in the atmosphere, and their numbers continue to increase. Knowing that ambient air pollution is the main environmental risk to health and that the two phenomena of climate change and pollution are mutually reinforcing, it is high time to act.
The depletion of resources and ecological risks are more than ever at the heart of societal and economic debates. The concept of sustainable development offers a ‘techno-optimistic’ response to this ecological crisis. It is our responsibility to develop new technologies in the service of the environment, with less polluting technologies to help protect and regenerate nature.
At the UN Conference of the Parties in Glasgow (COP-26) in November 2021, the objective of stabilising human-made greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions into the atmosphere at a level that does not endanger the global climate was clearly stated. Natura-Tec participated at COP-26 to demonstrate a sustainable, responsible and forward-looking collaborative approach within the cosmetics industry. As Beauty Day sponsor, the company was able to showcase its circular economy strategies and technologies supported by ingredients that carry finished product designs from cradle to cradle.
Natura-Tec’s industrial model is essentially defined as being sustainable. In 2021, Ecovadis awarded Natura-Tec a platinum medal for its sustainable development practices. It has worked for many years to reduce its GHG emissions and improve the lifecycle of its products from an environmental point of view.
The company’s product catalogue itself is the result with a range of ingredients of plant or marine origin that are highly biodegradable, non-polluting and from accredited supply chains. Within its technologies, Natura-Tec innovates to improve access to green energies, shorten the supply chain, recycle waste and produce locally to develop more environmentally friendly and sustainable technologies.Note de contenu : - Alternatives to synthetic & animal ingredients
