Simulation par ordinateurIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : IVW has developed a new concept for the construction of hybrid structures, especially for use in the automotive industry. Through the effective combination of two different lighweight production methods - a forming process such as compression moulding or thermoforming and an optimized thermoplastic in-situ tape placement process for the accurate positioning of local reinforcements - major improvements in mechanical properties and an overall weight reduction can be achieved. PultrusionIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : A Chinese supplier provides a number of international auto makers with high-quality long fiber-reinforced thermoplastics in pellet form. A key factor in this success has been the use of novel compounds and the development of custom material solutions. The company therefore invests heavily in research. When it came to producing the pellets on an industrial scale, it opted for German-made pultrusion technology. Note de contenu : - Lightweight components for the automobile industry
- Integrating the extruder into the fully automated operation
- Fig. 1 : The line handles 64 strands produces up to 1 t per hour of LFT pellets which are supplied to customers in the automotive industry and other industries

(Wikipedia)

Véhicules électriquesIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Until now, only metal has been used for the tailgates of VW cars. In its top of the line electric model, the ID.3, Volkswagen is now using a plastic-metal composite for the first time. One of the materials used for its production is a long glass fiber-reinforced polypropylene from Celanese. The material was required to not only satisfy the mechanical demands, but also enable an attractive appearance. Note de contenu : - Plastic/metal hybrid instead of steel
- Extensive demands
- Bonded instead of bolted
- All additives incorporated in one step
- Uv protection and odor requirements met with adapted formulation
- Tapes could be used as substitutes for metal inserts
- Tapes and injection molding material form a solid unit
- Fig. 1 : The demands on the structural and visible part of the tailgate of the ID.3 electric runabout are numerous. They were met with various material modifications
- Fig. 2 : One part of the tailgate is a visible interior part. The FRP used have a very good surface quality and therefore do not have to be additionally painted. They are supplied as pre-pigmented pellets in the desired vehicle interior color
- Fig. 3 : Production of Celstran LFT : the pultrusion technology allows the fibers to be completely impregnated
- Fig. 4 : Since the demands on the tailgate and rear spoiler support differ, they were produced using different materials
- Fig. 5 : The strands produced by pultrusion can be rolled out into 300 mm wide tapes
- Fig. 6 : Schematic illustration of the development of fully impregnated continuous fiber-reinforced tapes: the tapes can be wound onto spools and then processed by injection moldingEn ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Zs_n1U8brXswkyn7t_BHyTJ9lAYiNkdW/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=37967

Moules d'injectionIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Swiss toolmaker Georg Kaufmann and Germany-based Daimler AG have developed a multifunctional, production-ready injection compression mold in a project aimed at making the rear door trim of an SUV by a technology that is more lightweight, more cost-effective and utilizable all around the world. Note de contenu : - Three process alternatives in the final selection round
- Just-three injection points for injection compression molding
- Five short proving loops

PolypropylèneIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Using lightweight materials is a crucial issue in automotive construction, in order to meet the European Union’s climate targets. Corresponding investigations were conducted on polypropylene compounds, showing that natural reinforcing fibers have the highest potential for lightweight construction. Moreover, life cycle assessments yielded excellent results for these types of lightweight materials. Note de contenu : - More than just lightweight construction
- Combining strong points
- Lower weight with no loss in performance
- The development goes onEn ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1t0SLW7s9cZ14lAtVtpLuixUZXnK9pa9p/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=22632
