At first, polydimethylsiloxane modified with siliane coupling agent was copolymerized with acrylate monomers by free radical polymerization to get the hybrid resins. Due to the combination of covalent bond, the prepared hybrid resins were uniform and transparent. Then a series of hybrid resins were cured with tetraethoxysilane and dibutyltin dilaurate as the crosslinker and catalyst, respectively. The blends were loaded onto the substrate, such as tin plate, steel panels, or flat glass, and cured by heating to form hybrid coatings. To study the factors on the properties of the prepared hybrid resins and cured coatings, various measurements were carried out, such as FTIR, TGA, DSC, laser optical microscope, water contact angles, pencil scratch hardness, and the electrochemistry test. Thanks to the combination of covalent bond, the two components dispersed uniformly in the prepared hybrid resins and no cracks were observed from the cured hybrid coatings with an optical microscope. With excellent mechanical properties, thermal stability, corrosion resistance, and hydrophobic property, the prepared hybrid coatings can find application in the heavy-duty chemical industry. Revêtements -- Stabilité
Revêtements organiquesIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : The stability of the CED coatings is vital to their storage and application, which have an important effect on the film of the CED coatings. In this work, CED coatings were prepared by mixing the synthetic resin and blocked isocyanate. The factors, which have an influence on the stability of the CED coatings, were studied and optimised. The optimum conditions for preparing the CED coatings with good stability are the following. The mixing process is that the resin and curing agent is mixed well, and then water is added to disperse in the blender. The rotational speed and dispersed time were 900r/min and 40min, respectively. TDI trimer was the curing agent of the CED coating. The neutralisation degree was 80%. Note de contenu : - EXPERIMENTAL : Materials - Preparation of CED coatings - Characterisation

ThermocinétiqueIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : The low surface activity of graphene oxide (GO) stemming from its large conjugated electronic structure can easily affect the dispersion behavior of GO-based polymer matrices. This significantly undermines the properties of the resulting composite materials. Therefore, in order to increase the GO surface activity for use in polymer-based composites, GO was modified using silane coupling agent which was then doped into polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) polymer to prepare novel paints by sol–gel reaction strategy. The subsequent novel composite coatings based on PDMS/modified GO (mGO) were finally cured with tetraethoxysilane as the hardening agent in the presence of dibutyltin dilaurate catalyst. The effect of doping mGO into PDMS polymer was systematically studied using infrared spectroscopy, micro-Raman spectroscopy, TEM, SEM, XRD, TGA, mechanical test, thermal conductivity test, and the erosion resistance test. It was concluded that the phase compatibility between GO and PDMS was enhanced due to the new interconnecting chemical bonds brought about by the mGO in the composite.

ThermocinétiqueIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Polyguanidines thermally decompose into polycarbodiimide crosslinkers. The decomposition rate to polycarbodiimides is shown to accelerate in an acrylic polymer matrix. The half-life of the guanidine moiety is 178 min at 180°C; however, when the polyguanidine is blended in poly(methyl methacrylate), the half-life is reduced to 4.8 min. As a result of the acceleration effect of acrylic polymers, blends of polyguanidines and carboxylic acid-containing polymers which are neutralized with diethyl amine can be processed to form powder coatings which crosslink at elevated temperatures. The gel fractions of cured powder coatings show that adequate crosslinking occurs at about 180°C Note de contenu : - EXPERIMENTAL : Synthetic procedures - Kinetic procedures - Preparation of powder coatings - Gel fraction determinations - Panel evaluations

Collagène
Cuirs et peaux
Essais (technologie)

FT-IR and Zeta potential measurements were used to analyze and characterize DMTMM crosslinking modified gelatin materials; revealing the mechanism of interaction between DMTMM and collagen-based materials. Firstly, the “zero-length” crosslinking agent DMTMM activated the carboxyl groups on the collagen-based materials and promoted the formation of amide bonds between the collagen-based materials. At the same time, the hydrogen bond formed between the hydroxyl group and its active group causes zero-length crosslinking modification of collagen-based material under the joint action of these two kinds of bonding. DSC, TG, swelling properties, SEM and other analytical methods were used to test the thermal stability and microstructure of DMTMM crosslinked modified gelatin materials. It was found that DMTMM can effectively improve the stability of collagen-based materials, increase the thermal denaturation temperature and humidity and reduce the decomposition rate.
