The term amino resin refers to a group of viscous, thermosetting amino-group-containing components that have use in curing with other resins to form a cross-linked network. They are widely used as cross-linking agents for hydroxyl, carboxyl and amide functional polymers. Note de contenu : - Melamine-based amino resins

Qualité -- ContrôleIndex. décimale : 686.23 Impression Résumé : • A number of issues involved in specifying and achieving consistent print colour across major (and often international) projects are discussed. Various types of digital and conventional print output may need to be controlled to achieve matching end results.
• Various attempts have been made at standardisation, but none has achieved universal acceptance. Moreover, these standards have a number of identifiable shortcomings.
• Heidelberg has developed its own standard, which requires the use of Heidelberg presses. The PSO standard is popular in mainland Europe but only four UK companies use it.
• ISO 12647 offers no guidance on the use of very fine screen rulings (above 200 dpi) nor for recently developed modified screening technologies. Though optical brighteners (OBAs) are used very widely in papers, the standard assumes the use of papers free of them - which can only be obtained from one paper merchant in the UK.
• It is concluded that no current colour management strategy is adequate to meet all the needs of international projects.Note de contenu : - CONTRASTING VIEWS OF COLOUR MANAGEMENT : A more thorough approach from Komori

Formulation (Génie chimique)Index. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Cosmetic formulations are commonly composed of over 15 ingredients, depending on the application area and associated requirements, and are formulated following a specific process (heating/cooling, order of addition and stirring). These factors make the batchmaking of these formulations time consuming and challenging. This work showed that the making of cosmetic formulation can be supported by high throughput (HTP) technologies. These technologies enable the study of cosmetic formulation systems and allow for the possibility of moving towards rational formulation approaches to do modelling, provide prediction and give better control of the formulation parameters.
