PolyéthylèneIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Like plastics manufacturing and processing, the recycling of plastic products requires specialization to be efficient. Accordingly, a Dutch company has dedicated itself entirely to the recycling of agricultural and packaging films – and invested in a machine technology, which was found along tortuous ways. Note de contenu : - The export of plastic waste to china came on a halt
- Problems drive you smart
- Specialization as a success factor
- Expansion of production capacity
- Fig. 1 : At the heart of the MAS extrusion technology is the conical twin-screw extruder with co-rotating screws developed by its founder Helmuth Schulz. Advantages of this type of extruder are the large feed opening, which allows the efficient intake of raw materials with low bulk density, as well as the low-pressure plasticization - both prerequisites for gentle recycling.
- Fig. 2 : From bale to granulate: in the sorting process, foreign material is first removed from the dissolved film bales, then the films are separated according to color class or material quality. This is used to produce unmixed bales. Cutting mills process them into flakes, wich are then fed batch-wise to the DRD dry cleaners to remove granular soiling and moisture. The cleaned and dried foil flakes pass through buffer storage to the cascade extruders. Stations vivible in the picture are the single-screw extruder, the fine filter and the granulation.

An experimentally based melting model, solids conveying model, and new improved metering model, were combined to develop this formulation. The procedure for global design of a flood feed intermeshing counter-rotating twin screw extruder is presented. Illustrative calculations are made for polyvinyl chloride and high density polyethylene in this type of machines with different screw designs. Computations are made for axial variation of the fill factor, pressure, temperature and melting profiles. Simulations were found to match with experimental results well. The model was also applied to scale-up.
Son objectif est de produire des biens et services tout en limitant fortement la consommation et le gaspillage des matières premières, et des sources d'énergies non renouvelables ;

Recyclage mécaniqueIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Conventional PET recycling lines are based on single-screw extruders with maximum output rates of two and a half tons per hour. Since 2004, KraussMaffei has been researching a process to significantly increase these quantities with the help of glycol and the use of a twin-screw extruder. Given the current high demand for rPET materials, this technology is becoming increasingly important. Note de contenu : - Sustainability takes center stage - less focus on prices
- Melt viscosity under control
- Figure : The above diagram illustrates the operation of the twin-screw extruder during rPET production, where exact metering, extrusion and filtering of the glycol mixture are essentialEn ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1juSk0cqZc94w3bKXL_qgzFJ9ZqOJYfcx/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=37203

Matières plastiques -- ExtrusionIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : The influence of the feed opening axis width and position in relation to the plasticizing system axis on the effectiveness of the extrusion process of poly(vinyl) chloride has been studied. The research was conducted on the extrusion line for profiles with the extruder of the screw diameter 25 mm and L/D ratio = 25. In the extruder, the extruder head was mounted with a die of a rectangular cross-section shape for extruding a sheet of a defined width and thickness. The extruder was adapted for mounting five feed segments in the feed zone of the plasticizing unit; the segments differed from one another in terms of their feed opening width, the values of which were 0.6 D, 0.7 D, 0.8 D, 0.9 D and 1.0 D, respectively, whereas the values of the longitudinal axis shift of the opening relative to the longitudinal axis of the plasticizing unit were 0.2 D, 0.15 D, 0.10 D, 0.05 D and 0.0 D, respectively, which corresponded to 5 mm, 3.75 mm, 2.5 mm, 1.25 mm and 0 mm, respectively. The effectiveness of the polyvinyl chloride extrusion process was determined by dependences of extrudate temperature, extruder screw torque, polymer mass flow rate, power supplied to the extruder and conveyed by the polymer, unit energy consumption and energy efficiency of the extrusion process on the feed opening width and its axis position relative to the plasticizing unit axis, at different values of the screw rotational speed. It was stated that the width and position of the feed opening in relation to the plasticizing system axis can be adjusted in such a way that the extrusion process will be the most effective and other conclusions were also drawn.
