It is especially important to validate adhesive performance for the electronics industry. Adhesive manufacturers often provide the results of their own laboratory testing initially to the customer (then to a third-party laboratory) for validation.
When a customer doesn’t have internal laboratory resources to validate its suppliers’ research findings, it relies on a third-party laboratory (university or commercial testing facility) to provide a certified report validating materials, methods, and repeatable results. Meeting a military-grade requirement or MIL standard requires that both the supplier and its adhesive product be vetted by various U.S. Department of Defense agencies.Note de contenu : - Pilot runs on customer production lines

Réticulation (polymérisation)Index. décimale : 668.3 Adhésifs et produits semblables Résumé : Epoxy adhesives are used widely. New toughening additives significantly improve their impact and peel strength without reducing the epoxy hardness. Furthermore, modifying epoxies enhances moisture resistance. Choosing the right modifier polarity allows the desired morphology to be exactly achieved. This development can further widen the diversity of the use of epoxy adhesives. Résistance chimique
Résistance thermiqueIndex. décimale : 668.3 Adhésifs et produits semblables Résumé : Due to their different physical properties, epoxy adhesives and polyurethane adhesives are sold into different segments of the adhesives market. Epoxy adhesives are targeted for applications requiring rigidity, solvent resistance and ultra-high-temperature resistance. Polyurethane adhesives are targeted for applications requiring toughness, processing flexibility, tunable cure rates, low-temperature cure and adhesion to many different substrates.
While the hybridization of epoxy and polyurethane technology is not a new concept for coating applications, the hybridization of adhesives is not as common. Commercial epoxy adhesives face several challenges that can be remedied by hybridizing these two technologies. The most important improvement to epoxies is a reduction in brittleness, which comes from the inherently high crosslink density of epoxy chemistry.Note de contenu : - Epoxy strengthening methods
