Index. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Continuous fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composites have also become established with thin-walled housings for consumer electronics and information technology. Not only do they offer high stiffness and help to reduce weight, but also enable the integration of classy appearance and functions. What is more, if the housings are produced using the hybrid molding process, costs, processing steps, and cycle times can be reduced. Note de contenu : - Off-tool parts with demanding surfaces
- Reinforcing ribs produced easily
- Fully bio : semi-finished biopolymer items with bio-based reinforcememnt

- Fig. 1 : Schematic of hybrid molding sequence with rapid heating/cooling temperature control : thanks to fast heating and cooling of the mold, the resulting component surfaces can be painted directly
- Fig. 2 : Comparison of bending properties of standard materials for consumer electronics and IT equipment housings: Tepex dynalite semi-finished items with a halogen-free flame-retardant PC matrix are superior to die-cast metals, particularly in the system deformation test
- Fig. 3 : Tepex organosheets are easily recycled and subsequently reused for technical components. Strength, stiffness, and toughness of the recyclate correspond to those of short fiber-reinforced plastics with the same fiber contents

Son objectif est de produire des biens et services tout en limitant fortement la consommation et le gaspillage des matières premières, et des sources d'énergies non renouvelables ;

Recyclage mécaniqueIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Organo sheets have become established in several industrial sectors for the series production of highly stressed lightweight components. Hereby, waste material accumulates during production, which cannot be fed back directly to the manufacturing process. Therefore, the utilization of this scrap material is a promising recycling approach. Note de contenu : - Suitable recycling process for organo sheets
- Shredding parameters
- Suitable screw for 100 percent regrind
- Mechanical properties like conventional short fiber-reinforced plastics
- Figure : Even with a highly optimized production of organo sheets, considerable amounts of scrap occur
- Fig. 1 : Shredded Tepex : during shredding, the type of machine used is decisive. Single-shaft shredders in particular are able to produce a homogeneous regrind
- Fig. 2 : Processing a mix of 80% granulate and 20% organo sheet regrind with a standard 3-zone screw : reproducible metering in every cycle is possible during processing
- Fig. 3 : Comparison of rigidity and strength between PA6 Durethan BKV30, BKV35, and BKV40, as well as PA6 Durethan BKV30 with additions of 10, 20, and 30% Tepex 102 regrind : the values are comparable in spite of the addition of regrind.
- Fig. 4 : A demonstrator shows that the regrind is suitable for injection molding plastic components. The overmolding material of the demonstrator is a mix of 80% virgin material and 20% Tepex regrind
