Whiting, redoxide and titanium dioxide pigments were used in this investigation. The cement paint having 40% cement and 60% whiting was found to give excellent film properties. The study further showed that redoxide pigment can be used in cement paint up to 40% pigmentation, while titanium dioxide alone cannot be used. Note de contenu : - Efflorescence

The polyamide resins were characterized for physico-chemical characteristics. Coating compositions based on epoxy resin and polyamide resins were made and evaluated for film and other properties Certain compositions were found to have satisfactory performance when compared with that of compositions based on epoxy resin and polyamide resins made from commercial dimer fatty acids. Langues : Anglais (eng) Résumé : This paper provides thoughts and ideas for using phenol novolac resin in hybrid powder coatings either in pure form or modified form. Matt and glossy finish powder coating compositions were prepared with and without novolac resin the performance of novolac resin in hybrid (epoxy-polyester) powder coating was observed through several physical and chemical properties like gloss, flexibility, impact, adhesion solvent resistance, salt spray test etc. Note de contenu : - Synthesis of novolac resin

Encre -- Additifs
Revêtements -- AdditifsIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : It is difficult to go through a whole day without coming in contact with foaming materials. The soap and tooth paste that we use in the morning and before sleep, the foamed polyurethane seat cushion of the sofa or car seat, or the foamed polystyrene take away boxes that fill our foods in the restaurants.
In above case, foams are desired to achieve the finishing or result that we need. However for paint manufacturers and applicants, in order to ensure a smooth and even final paint film, foaming will be one of the main tasks to overcome especially for those paints that are applied by brush and roller.
Thus additives like defoamer are needed to prevent the formation of bubble when liquid paint is subjected to external mechanical disturbance during application and production.Note de contenu : - FOAM

Revêtements poudre:Peinture poudreIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Powder coating systems as economic and environmental friendly alternative to solvent borne counterparts are still on the race to capture a higher market share and to replace conventional systems. Due to their efficient application with nearly hundred percent utilization of the coating material and their technical performance it was possible to penetrate into several market segments including automotive, architectual, coil coatings and application on heat sensitive substrates as natural and engineered wood, MDF and plastics.
Key success factors in future will be related to further improvements in flow out/appearance of resulting films, new methods of application, a curing schedule at lower temperatures and improvements in outdoor durability.
Concerning the outdoor suitability the reader should keep in mind that the surface is exposed to a whole variety of potential aggressive media and conditions temperature change, sun light, humidity, oxygen, air polluants like nitric and sulfur oxides, ozone and others. In contact with these media the polymer matrix will undergo chemical and photochemical degradation reactions and hydrolysis. In today's discussion, degradation by fungi, mildew and bacteria is considered as well. Corresponding degradation mechanism, the test schemes for coatings in lab scale and real outdoor exposures in aggressive climates like in Florida or Arizona is reviewed in a large number of articles in literature.Note de contenu : - STANDARD DURABLE POWDER COATING SYSTEMS
