The use of organo-modified polysiloxanes in surface additives is growing beyond classical applications in wetting agents and defoamers. Due to their unique interfacial activity, modified siloxanes are invaluable ingredients that improve leveling and decrease cratering while producing smooth film surfaces This results in functional surface properties such as slip or easy-to-clean (ETC) effects. Titre : Multifunctional all-rounders : Surface-active polysiloxanes get additional features with tailored structures. With only one additive, different effects like simultaneous defoaming and wetting, considered as contrary at first glance, can be achieved in coating systems Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Julia Mörk, Auteur ; Benjamin Pohl, Auteur ; Nils Kottner, Auteur Année de publication : 2019 Article en page(s) : p. 46-51 Note générale : Bibliogr.

Vernis -- AdditifsIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : When formulating high-quality paints and coatings, the addition of functional additives is indispensable. Modern additives have an effective impact even if only small quantities are involved. The continuous further development of new coating systems and binders as well as the increase in requirements in terms of regulations and guidelines make the condinuous further development of existing additives inevitable. Note de contenu : - Wetting and defoaming
- New slip additive - an allrounder
- New easy-to-clean additive - permanence and surface quality
