Résumé : |
For several decades now, fibre-reinforced composites have established themselves as a lightweight, easily mouldable alternative to metallic designs. Especially when used in prepreg form, fibre-reinforced composites combine repeatable quality, remarkable stiffness-to-weight ratios and a high degree of design freedom with highly cost-effective tooling, which makes them a lear choice for performance-oriented, small-series production industries such as aircraft, space technology and high-end cars. |

- ADVANTAGES AND LIMITATION OF CERAMIC-MATRIX COMPOSITES : Raw materials - FIbres - Prepreg
- CERAPREG : Acceptable raw material costs - Similar processing to polymer-based prepregs for wide market acceptance - Same or improved storage and transport conditions as thermoset prepregs - Airtight, at least optional
- A COST-EFFECTIVE MATERIAL FOR CERAMIC COMPOSITES
