The ideal solution would be a one-stage process. In a potential study, a selective fiber placement unit was tested that combines fiber placement, resin injection, and curing in a single process step – with placement rates of up to 1 m/s. Note de contenu : - Production concept with selective fiber placement unit
- Generic approach
- Characteristic results of the potential phase
- Lamp technique
- Selection of a suitable material system
- Process and production parameters
- FIGURES : 1. Comparaison between the CFRP manufacturing processes of resin transfer molding (RTM)and selective fiber placement: from the roving directly to the component - 2. Test chain from the static process over the dynamic process to the pilot-scale additive manufacture - 3. Comparison between the wave-lengths emitted by mercury vapor and UV-LED lamps - 4. Material requirements and selection system to meet the necessary process criteria - 5. Static test installation for the production of single laminate layers using UV curing - 6. Graphic representation of the different pure resin and laminate for placement speeds of 1m/s, 0.31m/s and 0.06m/s. The middle graph shows the degree of conversion as a function of exposure time and glass transition temperature. The target states for the placed laminated layers and final CFRP laminate are indicated in yellow - 7. Light micrographs of a UV-cured individual laminated layer, a multi-layer laminate (b-stage/b-stage) and a multi-layer laminate (b-stage/full cure). Matières plastiques dans les automobilesIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : A new lightweight design for CFRTP parts combining thermoformed UD carbon fibre rods and injection moulding is described from the idea up to serial CFRTP structural part for BMW Group body-in-white application. Moulding is described from the idea up to serial production for the BMW iX at BMW Group's plant in Landshut. The resulting skeleton frame is both cost-competitive and sustainable.
