This reduced pH value leads to a break- down in passivity layer around reinforcement causing corrosion of iron bar, cracking of concrete and reduced compressive strength with ultimately leads to reduction in service life. Present paper have glance over the deterioration of concrete by the means of various dispute of weathering. Study include discussion over various physical and chemical test methods to determination of depth of carbonation of concrete using phenolphthalein as indicator after accelerated and physical exposure. Silicon coating, bituminous coating, applied acrylic coatings are used for protection against diffusion of CO2. Present study is to bring effect of redispersible polymer powder (RDP) on mechanical and performance properties of formulated coating at varying dosages of polymer. Mechanical properties such as compressive and flexural strength and perforce properties are dry adhesion to concrete surface.This paper discusses the prospect of achieving optimum dosages of various polymers to reach elimination of external curing methods.
