Véhicules électriquesIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Developing an electric vehicle (EV) with a range of 1000 kilometres is not as impossible as many might asume today. As batteries become more and morepowerful, lowering the vehicle weight will be the key challenge to overcome to reach that ultimate goal. But how can manufacturers make cars lighter while at the same time keeping them safe ? Thanks to innovations in composite materials, engineering plastics and additive manufacturing, cars can now be both light and reliable. As a result, Evs are a step closer to a great breakthrough. Note de contenu : - Why lighter is better
- Aerospace leads the way
- No need to compromise on safety

ViolonsIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : For centuries, wood has been the material of choice for violins. Carbon fiber instruments have entered the market as an alternative. In contrast to popular opinion that composite violins have or lack a specific sound quality, our recent study provides insights in the diverse sounds and timbres violins from fiber-reinforced polymers can create.
