Cuirs et peaux -- DétériorationIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : Leather remains a popular choice in homes today, where style and a sense of luxury are paramount. With a wide range of qualities, colours and finishes, it is inevitable that some problems will occur.
Sometimes these may be due to customer misuse or unrealistic expectations in terms of leather performance, in other cases the problems may be due to material problems or manufacturing faults.Note de contenu : - Staining

Titre : Compact methods for the wet end Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Alois Püntener, Auteur Année de publication : 1999 Article en page(s) : p. 96-103 Note générale : Bibliogr. Langues : Américain (ame) Index. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : Neutralization, retanning, dyeing and fatliquoring when applied in compact formulations require a special selection of products and/or product combinations that are compatible. Decisive, are not only economical advantages such as time reduction, higher production capacity utilization but also ecological benefits like saving of water. In addition to these advantages, the performance and the final use of leather should not to be overlooked. The theoretical background for achieving satisfactory results and practical hints are discussed in this presentation. Special focus is given to upgrading of lower quality leathers. Microscopie électronique à balayageIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : This paper mainly compares and analyses the moisture permeability of natural sheepskin and regenerated leather with temperature and time. It was found that the effect of temperature on the moisture permeability of natural sheepskin and regenerated leather was significantly greater than that of time. The performance and trend of moisture permeability of recycled leather under both time and temperature are similar to that of sheepskin as a whole. At a low temperature below 50°C, the moisture permeability of recycled leather is comparable to that of natural sheepskin ; as the temperature rises, its moisture permeability gradually opens up the gap with that of sheepskin. By SEM characterisation, it was found that the fibrous tissues of the natural sheepskin papilla layer were tightly connected and the fibrous tissues of the reticulated layer were loose and disordered ; the recycled leather mainly consisted of crushed fibrous waste and adhesive, and the fibres were stuck with adhesive between them.
