However, the ever increasing degree of freedom creates complex interrelationships between part quality and process parameters. At K 2019, IKV and an industrial consortium will demonstrate how algorithms based on artificial intelligence can support machine operators during the process setup by using machine data and quality data. In order to improve the quality and further reduce the cycle time, layer thickness ratios were varied at the German research institute and strategies for mold temperature control were developed.
