Résumé : |
Anticorrosive pigments inhibit corrosion process either chemically and/or electrochemically (active Pigments) and/or physically (barrier pigments) and may be divided by the way they work. Anti-corrosive pigments can be divided into three groups : basic, soluble and metallic pigments. Though basic anti corrosive pigments are soluble type but all the soluble pigments are not basic anti corrosive pigments. Based on their mechanism the new less toxic and non toxic anti corrosive pigments are being developed. The inhibitive mechanism of non anti corrosive pigments and extenders is also important to understand from corrosion point of view. |
