RésorcinolLa résorcine (ou résorcinol, ou benzène-1,3-diol en nomenclature IUPAC) est l'isomère méta du benzènediol. C'est un diphénol (C6H4(OH)2) utilisé comme antiseptique et pour la préparation de certains colorants : bleu de résorcine, vert de résorcine. Le terme est composé à partir de résine et d'orcine.
PROPRIETES CHIMIQUES, TOXICITE :
Le résorcinol donne des réactions de condensation avec de nombreux composés organiques. On obtient, par exemple, par condensation d'alcools primaires avec le résorcinol des benzéines et des naphtaléines. Ces composés, en solution alcaline, présentent une fluorescence qui varie en fonction du nombre et de la position des groupements -OH et -COOH.
Il est utilisé, comme réactif très sensible, pour la recherche de quantités minimes d'acide tartrique et de zinc. Il peut irriter la peau et les muqueuses. Son absorption peut provoquer des troubles sanguins, des convulsions et même la mort.
UTILISATION :
Le résorcinol, obtenu industriellement par fusion de l'acide métabenzène disulfonique avec un excès de soude a de nombreuses utilisations industrielles : tannage, fabrication de résines
Notamment comme colle en construction navale bois,contreplaqué marine,du fait de sa bonne tenue à l'eau,remplacée à l'heure actuelle par les résines époxy : fabrication d'adhésifs, préparation d'acide, para-aminosalicylique, fabrication d'explosifs et de colorants,
cosmétiques, teinture et impression des tissus, antiseptique, antifongique et desséchant.

Solutions aqueuses (chimie)Index. décimale : 667.3 Teinture et impression des tissus Résumé : Aleppo pine-tree sawdust, a forest waste abundantly available in Algeria, was used for the adsorption of CI Basic Blue 3 from an aqueous solution. The effects of adsorbent dosage, pH, adsorbate concentration and contact time were studied. The equilibrium adsorption data were analysed by Langmuir, Freundlich and Temkin isotherm models. It was found that the Langmuir isotherm fitted well to the observed data for CI Basic Blue 3 adsorption onto Aleppo pine-tree sawdust based on the correlation coefficient R2 and four different error functions for the non-linear regression. The adsorption capacity of Aleppo pine-tree sawdust for CI Basic Blue 3 was determined with the Langmuir model and was found to be 65.36 mg g−1 at 293 K. The adsorption kinetic data were modelled using the pseudo-first-order, pseudo-second-order and intraparticle diffusion kinetic equations. It was seen that the pseudo-second-order equation could describe the adsorption kinetics and intraparticle diffusion was not the sole rate-controlling factor. The results indicated that Aleppo pine-tree sawdust is an attractive alternative for removing cationic dyes from wastewater. Tannage Résumé : The disposal of chrome tanned leather shavings (CTLS) waste is a serious concern for the environment due to the presence of chromium. In this study, an attempt has been made to prepare adsorbent from CTLS through carbonization process. Carbonization of CTLS at temperature 600°C had provided surface area of 620 m2 g-1 and total pore volume of 0.49 cm3 g-1. The adsorption study is conducted by employing adsorbent prepared from CTLS on adsorbate tannic acid. The effects of various experimental parameters have been investigated using a batch adsorption technique to obtain information on treating wastewater containing tannic acid. The extent of tannic acid removal was studied by varying parameters such as pH, contact time, initial concentration of the tannic acid and amount of adsorbent. The removal efficiency of tannic acid in aqueous solution is found to be about 95%. The experimental equilibrium data for this system has been analyzed using the linearized forms of Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms. The Langmuir isotherm was found to provide the best theoretical correlation of the experimental data for the adsorption of tannic acid. The adsorption of tannic acid on adsorbent increased from 57 to 63 mg g-1, when the temperature was increased from 30 to 60°C. The adsorption was found to follow pseudo-second order kinetics. In short, this study provides a greener solution for CTLS and tannin containing wastewater. The samples were characterized by FT-IR, EDS, BET surface area and Zeta potential technique. The surfaces contain carbonyl and hydroxyl functional groups which act as a binding sites for Cu(II) ion. Adsorption kinetics of Cu(II) was tested by first order kinetics, Elovich and parabolic diffusion kinetic equations which shows that adsorption is a diffusion controlled process. The rate of adsorption was high at high adsorption temperature. Thermodynamic parameters like ΔH°, ΔS° and ΔG° were calculated from the kinetic data. Solutions aqueuses (chimie)Index. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : The adsorption behaviours were investigated of chromium-containing leather waste towards Acid Flavine G ( Acid Yellow 11; 18820) and Direct Pink 12B (Direct Red 31; 29100) in aqueous solution. The results indicated that both the acid dye and direct dye could be significantly adsorbed by this novel adsorbent. Acid pH values favor the adsorption and the adsorption capacity decreases with the increase of pH. The experimental data of adsorption isotherms of both the dyes fit well to the Langmuir model rather than the Freundlich model. The greatest amounts adsorbed of Acid Flavine G and Direct Pink 12B, at 293K, were 803.4mg/g and 798.7mg/g, respectively when the initial concentration of dye solution was 2000mg/L. The adsorption capacities of the dyes increased further with rising temperature. As the temperature was increased to 323K, the maximum adsorption amounts of Acid Flavine G and Direct Pink 12B reached 980.4mg/g and 1369mg/g respectively, which indicated that the mechanism of the adsorption might be chemical adsorption.
The adsorption kinetics data can be well-described by the pseudo-second-order rate model. The adsorption capacities calculated by the pseudo-second-order rate model were close to those determined by actual measurement (error < 8 %). The column adsorption kinetics studies showed that the breakthrough points of Acid Flavine G and Direct Pink 12B were 30 and 40 bed volumes in the experimental system, which indicated that the adsorption column has a high availability for adsorption of dyes. Desorption studies showed that the Acid Flavine G adsorbed could be completely desorbed by using 0.1mol/L NaHCO3, but complete desorption of Direct Pink 12B was somewhat difficult.Note de contenu : - EXPERIMENTAL PROCEDURES : Materials - Influence of pH on adsorption - Adsorption isotherm studies - Adsorption kinetics studies - Column adsorption kinetics studies
