Durable ultraviolet (UV)-protective cotton fabric has great application potential in outdoor cotton clothing. In this study, oppositely charged TiO2 nanoparticles were deposited onto cotton fabric through the layer-by-layer self-assembly technique, resulting in multilayer films with UV-protective properties. The mechanism of the technology has been investigated through characterization of the structure and properties using different techniques including FTIR, UV–Vis spectroscopy, and a scanning electron microscope with an energy-dispersive X-ray spectrum. The results showed that TiO2 nanoparticles distributed uniformly on the surface of cotton fibers. The TGA results indicated that the TiO2 nanoparticles deposit on cotton fabrics had little effect on the thermal stability of cotton fabrics. The tensile strength and air permeability of the cotton samples were tested by a universal material testing machine and automatic ventilation instrument. The UV protection property of cotton fabric after assembled multilayer films was measured by an ultraviolet transmittance analyzer, and the laundering experiments were carried out to determine the durability of TiO2 nanoparticles on cotton fabric. The results showed that the UV protection property of cotton fabrics after assembled TiO2 nanoparticles was still maintained at a high level after five launderings.Note de contenu : - EXPERIMENTAL : Materials - Preparation of TiO2 nanoparticle suspension - Pretreatment of cotton fabrics - Multilayer assembly on cotton fabrics - Measurements and characterization

Structural alteration of the pretreated fibres was reflected by thermogravimetry and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, indicating more H-bonds, lower crystallinity, and slightly lower thermal stability. The change in structure showed that 2-phenoxyethanol combined with the fibre macromolecules and resulted in swelling of the fibre. Creation of a biphasic system through the addition of 2-phenoxyethanol to the dyeing solution resulted in the cationic dye being partitioned more towards the 2-phenoxyethanol-rich phase than the aqueous phase. The cross-sections of the dyed fibre suggested that the meta-aramid fibre could be dyed more thoroughly with an appropriate concentration of 2-phenoxyethanol. The colour value of aramid fabric was tested by varying the concentration of 2-phenoxyethanol and the temperature of pretreatment, indicating a dramatic improvement in dyeing performance to aramid after 2-phenoxyethanol pretreatment. 2-Phenoxyethanol pretreatment and low-temperature dyeing can overcome the problems of chemical and energy waste while producing a satisfying colour. An isobutylene-anhydride based copolymer was synthesized and used as a water-absorbing resin instead ofa starch-based water-absorbing resin currently used in the coatings. Expanded perlite was used as the heat insulation material. The optimum formulation was determined to be titanium dioxide powder 5.1 g (8.26%); perlite 12 g (19.44%); zeolite 13 g (21.06%); water-absorbing resin 3 g (4.86%); tributyl-phosphate 0.3 g (0.49%); emulsifier OP-10 0.3 g (0.49%); and styrene-acrylate copolymer emulsion 28 g (45.38%). Teinture -- Fibres textiles synthétiquesIndex. décimale : 667.3 Teinture et impression des tissus Résumé : In this study, 2-phenoxyethanol was used as a carrier to realise the bright-colour dyeing of aramid fibre. Fourier transform infrared, X-ray diffraction, and thermal analyses were used to characterise the modification of 2-phenoxyethanol on the aramid fibre structure. The dyeing performance, including the K/S value and the dye uptake, was tested by varying the concentration of 2-phenoxyethanol and related experimental parameters. Structural analysis suggests strengthened H-bonds, lower crystallinity, and slightly lower thermal stability after 2-phenoxyethanol treatment, which can be explained by the swelling effect of 2-phenoxyethanol, enlarging the amorphous structure through the reassembly of hydroxyl bonding to the aramid fibre. The dyeing performance can be improved by increasing the dyeing time, the temperature, and the concentration of sodium nitrate under slightly acidic condition. Colour fastness tests showed that 2-phenoxyethanol treatment does not affect the rubbing fastness but lowers the wash fastness slightly. Dyeing of aramid is crucial under special environmental conditions in which the products must withstand a harsh environment while retaining a bright colour. Spectroscopie de réflectanceIndex. décimale : 535.6 Couleur Résumé : The spectral reflectance of a colour is its most essential characteristic, and it does not change with changes of equipment or light source. Therefore, the reconstruction of spectral reflectance from parameters such as colour tristimulus value and RGB has attracted the attention of researchers. To avoid the occurrence of metamerism in the colour reproduction process and to achieve the purpose of colour spectral reproduction, the spectral reflectance and the optimal parameters of the reconstruction using the weighted fitting method were discussed experimentally with the colour data measured from the Sino Colour Book as the research object. The results show that the best results are obtained when the weighted fitting parameters are weighted by the third power and eight colour samples are involved in the fitting. The reconstructed spectral reflectance obtained by the weighted fitting method has little variation and high overlap with the actual spectral reflectance obtained at each hue and lightness, thus meets the requirements of practical applications.
