Tannage Résumé : Tannery sludge can contain 70% of organic substances which can have applications as a high-quality fertilizer, however, too high levels of chrome are a major obstacle for tannery sludge in agricultural applications. In this experiment, a study on chrome migration, transformation and resultant chrome levels has been done in the laboratory and expanded to using tannery sludge compost on agricultural land. These studies offer theoretical support for using tannery sludge. The experimental study shows that when Cr3+ levels in soil reach 250mg/kg, the plant absorption of chrome reaches the maximum value, which is 23.33mg/kg. The evidence shows that chrome loading of paddy field soil should be controlled to 350mg/kg. The superhydrophilic terpolymer poly(DMHB-SPP-HEA), denoted as PDSH, was synthesized through aqueous solution polymerization. PDSH-coated SSMMs (PDSH-SSMMs) were achieved by successive dip-coating of the commercial SSMMs into polyvinyl alcohol, divinyl sulfone (DVS), and PDSH solutions. The DVS layer and PDSH solution were crosslinked through DVS chemistry to enhance the hydrophilicity and provide a number of unique properties, such as antimicrobial activity, antifouling ability, and oil–water separation capability. Two different PDSH-SSMMs, PDSH0-SSMM and PDSH5-SSMM, were prepared and characterized using FTIR, SEM, and contact angle measurement (CAM). The antimicrobial activity, bovine serum albumin (BSA) fouling, and oil–water separation performance were evaluated simultaneously. The results indicate that PDSH0-SSMM is an excellent oil–water separation membrane for long-term separation, together with its extra antimicrobial and antifouling properties. It is promising for the industrialization of multi-functional membranes through this facile and environmentally friendly strategy. We demonstrate herein for the first time successful fabrication of microgels based on branched poly(ethylenimine) (PEI) and their incorporation into water-soluble polyacrylate (WPA), with subsequent preparation of compact coatings via electrophoretic deposition (EPD) and ultraviolet (UV) radiation. The films including the microgels exhibited tensile strength and elongation at breakage values above 6.82 MPa and 72.09%, respectively. The coatings showed good thermal stability, decreased water absorption, outstanding durability, and rust resistance after immersion in 5 wt% NaCl solution for 7 days at 40°C. This work provides a new strategy that can be readily applied to a variety of conductive substrates.

ZincIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : A nanocontainer with 2-mercaptobenzothiazole (MBT)-intercalated Zn–Al-layered double hydroxides (LDHs) was synthesized through co-precipitation. The structures of the LDH and the nanocontainer were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and energy-dispersive X-ray analysis. The nanocontainer was added into 3.5 wt% NaCl solutions with different pH values to study its effect on the protection of Q345 steel. The corrosion rate of Q345 steel in 3.5 wt% NaCl solution with a pH value of 3 was lower than those in neutral and alkali solutions. Moreover, the addition of nanocontainers into the epoxy resin coating improved the performance of the coating and facilitated self-healing by releasing MBT inhibitors into the scratched area. The results show that DLBS can be synthesized by reaction of industrial dodecyl benzene with lauroyl chloride in the presence of AlCl3, followed by sulfonation with ClSO3H and neutralization with NaOH. The lauroyl-group is confirmed to be connected to the para-position of the alkylbenzene by1HNMR spectrum. The synthesized DLBS is well soluble in pure water and reservoir (connate) water at 45 °C. It is highly surface active which is indicated by its low CMC of 1.1 · 10–5mol/L, and its low surface tension, γmc of 28.6 mN m–1. By mixing with heavy alkylbenzene sulfonates of relatively low average molar mass (387g mol–1) at a total surfactant concentration of 5 mM, DLBS can reduce the interfacial tension of Daqing crude oil/connate water to an order of 10–3mN/m at 45 °C in the presence of 0.5–1.0 wt.% NaOH and 1000 mg L–1of polymer. If the NaOH was replaced by a gentle alkaline salt, Na2CO3, certain amounts of dodecyl dimethyl carboxy betaine were added and the concentration of Na2CO3was increased to 1.2–2.0 wt.%, the interfacial tension of Daqing crude oil/connate water can also be reduced to an ultralow value. Therefore DLBS is a good hydrophobic surfactant applicable in ASP flooding with either NaOH or Na2CO3as alkaline agents.
