Green technology has become an imperative of corporate responsibility and a milestone on the road to future sustainability. An increasing number of market players share this view, and analysts, investors and the general public expect to see assertive action from the industry. Due to pressure from the public and the media, green technology has escalated very quickly into a megatrend in the global marketplace. What began as an "eco-trend" has entered the mainstream in response to consumer demand. The market for green products is ramping up rapidly and relentlessly. Bayer MaterialScience recognized this trend early on, and it has positioned itsel at the forefront of the new movement.
Waterborne polyurethane coatings have started to repeat the success story of Bayer's well known Desmodur and Desmophen coatings raw materials. Within the construction industry, applications for both walls and floors have perfectly proven the fact that the performance of the green generation products is fulfilling all the requirements. A toolbox of polyol dispersions and requirements. The coatings can be easy-to-clean or anti-graffiti, for application on exterior/interior walls, interior walls for hospitals, schools & kindergartens, electronic plants, food processing workshops, kitchens, metro stations, etc. They can also bu used as the topcoat of floor coatings for commercial and industrial areas with excellent abrasion resistance, scratch resistance & chemical resistance. Real life cases will be analysed in this article as well.Note de contenu : - BASIC MECHANISM

Whether cranes, bridges, offshore or marine - whenever steel needs to be protected from corrosion and weather stable coatings with long lasting appearance are required, polyurethane topcoats are the preferred solution. In this paper, the weathering performance of two-component polyurethane topcoats used in corrosion protection applications, e.g. bridges, marine, stadia, etc., is discussed with emphasis on some key formulating variables. Variables such as isocyanate index and resin selection are compared in an accelerated weathering study using various polyurethane topcoats. The results are referenced to SSPC polyurethane coatings specifications which are often in the industry to define performance criteria. Construction accounts for nearly 65 per cent of the total investment in infrastructure and is expected to be the biggest beneficiary of the surge in infrastructure investment over the next five years. Investment in construction accounts for nearly 11 per cent of India's Gross Domestic Product (GDP). As opportunities in the sector continue to come to the fore, foreign direct investment has been moving upwards.
This article covers basic principles of two-component waterborne polyurethane coatings and its applications for both walls and floors in construction areas. It also presents the results based on intensive lab evaluations with different combinations of polyol dispersions and hydrophilic polyisocyanates for performance adjustment in order to meet different performance and cost requirements. The coatings can be easy-to-clean, anti-graffiti for the use of exterior/interior walls, interior walls for hospitals, schools & kindergartens, electronic plants, food processing workshops, kitchens, metro stations etc. It can also be used as topcoat of floor coatings for commercial and industrial areas with excellent abrasion resistance, scratch resistance & chemical resistance. Revêtements protecteursIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Temporary functional coating based on a 1K waterborne polyurethane dispersion that provides temporary protection for high-end products against chemical and mechanical damage, dust, fingerprints or stains. Since it can be easily applied to a wide range of substrates, e.g. plastic, glass, metal or coated parts, it is ideally suited to various applications such as IT and consumer electronics, automotive, wood & furniture etc.
Demanded characteristics of this coating are good adhesion to the surface on the substrates when applying and when they are unnecessary, it's easy to peel off and not to leave any coatings on the surface.
The advantages of these peelable coatings are their high efficiency and eco-friendliness as waterborne 1K formulations, tough but elastic-, thermo-stability, spraying capability (for 3-D objects), and absence of any residues since no adhesive is required.
Experts at Bayer MaterialScience have developed dispersions and starting formulations for environmentally compatible coatings that provide this protective function. Once they have served their purpose, they can be peeled off easily with no residue left behind.En ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/11BiBgwUyP8BIqFyhyx0MZE8hZOISEnYE/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=21789
