Revêtements en phase aqueuse:Peinture en phase aqueuseIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : The fluorinated cationic acrylic latex was prepared successfully via semi-continuous seeded emulsion polymerisation of butyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate and hexafluorobutylmethacrylate in water phase initiated with 2,2'azobis (2. methyl propion amidine)dihydrochloride and emulsified with the aid of mixed surfactants of cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide and polyethylene glocolmono-nonylphenylether. The structure of the resultant latex is confirmed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy spectrum and differentiel scanning calorimetry. Facture, which have an effect on the emulsion polymerisation and properties of latex, are investigated in détail. The conversion of mixed monomers is high and the coagulation percentage is less when the reaultant latex is prepered under the folIowing condition : the amount of emulsifier is 3% ; the amount of initiator is 0.8% : the content of the fluorinated monomer is 4%. In this case, the average particle size of latex is smallest. ln addition, in comparison with the latex prepared without the fluorinated monomers, the hydrophobicity of the resultant latex film is clearly improved. Prévision, Théorie de laIndex. décimale : 667.2 Colorants et pigments Résumé : Use of the Ti-Pure select TS-6300, a new highly treated TiO2, allowing optimal paint performance, while controlling costs and describe the development of a calculator supporting paint formulation work.
Highly treated 7102 grades are very effective in enhancing the hiding power of flat points by increasing Ti02 scattering efficiency through reduced Tr02 crowding and by enhancing air pore hiding contribution. A computer model has been developed to facilitate paint formulation with Ti-Pure Select TS-6300 by predicting key point properties depending on point composition and T102 type. This model can help minimise lab work required to achieve a formulation with optimised performance and cost.Note de contenu : - Fig. 1 : Relative scattering power as function of TiO2 particle separation

The new liquid bio-based Priplast polyols are easy to use and modify the adhesives to become hydrophobic, highly flexible and provide adhesion to various substrates. Durability is enhanced due to thermo-oxidative stability and improved hydrolytic stability versus conventional polyester polyols. Application possibilities include lightweight construction, flexible sporting goods and laminated furniture. Note de contenu : - Background to bio-based polyol technology
