Ingrédients cosmétiquesIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Essential oils have been an important part of human culture for millennia, used extensively in medicine and religious ceremonies well before their use in modern personal care products. Thousands of years ago, people clearly believed essentiel oils carried a great deal of power, and still today consumers seek out the healing and restorative properties of these fascinating natural products.
In recent years there has been a renewed interest in the importance of the sense of smell to people's overall level of wellbeing. For many years, fragrances have been linked with an ability to change one's mood, but there are now scientific studies focusing on the link between smell and memory, concentration, stress, and even spending habits. In fact, in many ways, the approach to smell has now come full circle and we are almost back to a Victorian attitude to smell, without perhaps going so far as to believe powerful stenches bring illnesses with them ; but nevertheless there is certainly renewed interest in the properties of fragrance compounds and their deeper activity.
Renewed interest in essentiel oils has come about largely as a result of the green/naturals trend which has transformed the personal care industry over the last 20 years. The concept of 'essential oils' benefits hugely in this market as it almost represents 'concentrated natural power'. People will always be eager to use products containing this type of ingredient, as long as it is safe. And safety with these products, and of course with cosmetic and persona! care products in general, is critical. They are very patent, but also extremely useful ingredients when the right type of essentiel oil is used properly.Note de contenu : - First recorded use

Extraction (chimie)Index. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : With new superfoods emerging seemingly every week and pressure to find natural actives that deliver noticeable skin and hair benefits, one plant source has been overlooked in many regions because of its association with recreational drug use. But with prohibition lifted in an increasing number of key markets, cannabis-based beauty products are now seeing an enormous spike in popularity.
The therapeutic benefits of cannabis have been documented in a wide number of areas, such as ; epilepsy, chronic pain, slowing the onset of Alzheimer's, and improving heart health.' Widespread campaigns to enable access to cannabis-derived drugs have perhaps dissolved some of the negative stereotypes associated with cannabis and encouraged a re-evaluation of this powerful and multifunctional ingredient. But focusing on benefits to skin, cannabis again has a wide range of potential attributes. Even discounting the oil itself, hemp fibres are used in cosmetic powders for rheology modifying effects (see Natpure Fibers from Sensient). The oil has been shown to have anti-ageing, anti-acne and skin sensitivity benefits ?Note de contenu : - Extraction and delivery methods

MaquillageIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : In recent months there has been a trend for people to post 'selfie' photos of themselves wearing no makeup on social networking sites. Often affiliated with breast cancer awareness campaigns (though a number of celebrities have been posting carefully lit `no makeup' images for some time) the trend has received considerable coverage in the media and sparked debate about the role of makeup in the lives of women. The explosion of no makeup selfies also fits well with the `barefaced beauty' trend that has been progressing since 2012. The barefaced beauty trend requires people to adopt a 'less is more' approach, which may necessitate regular facials, creamy nude hues and sparkle-free bronze tones.
While the prospect of no makeup images and barefaced beauty may not initially sound very promising for cosmetics manufacturers, the reality is that to achieve the impression of little or no makeup still requires the use of products — just certain types and applied in specific ways. It will also mean more attention is paid to the health of the skin, and therefore more people will be considering what cleansers, exfoliators and moisturisers they use. Although avoiding the obvious use of makeup, consumers will still be keen to achieve a flawless look to their skin.
The minimal look is also achieved through using sculpting techniques to emphasise facial features, so people will be reaching for their bronzer and blusher to do this. Perhaps the most effective way of highlighting features is through the use of an illuminator (for instance Touche Eclat from Yves Saint Laurent) which reflects light, smoothing out contours and creating a healthy, natural glow.En ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/16NoXFJDe1QcpFw6KD8nHJPHDafzNe4S0/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=21589

Industrie cosmétique -- Législation -- Pays de l'Union EuropéenneIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : The personal care industry thrives on innovation, both in ternis of finished product trends and exciting ingredient technology. Consumers like to feel they are experiencing the benefit of the latest cutting-edge science in order to keep one step ahead of the otherwise inevitable onset of ageing, but it is important to remember that the industry understandably has to comply with very strict regulations, so innovation needs to be developed within boundaries that lirait the use of certain chemicals.
Regulation and restricted/prohibited lists therefore create a limited palette of substances for use by formulators of personal care products, and this necessitates a new way of thinking and looking at existing technologies in novel ways.
In the cosmetics industry, preservatives have perhaps seen the tightest restraints in terms of allowable chemistries. As a result formulators have looked to use synergistic blends, boosting agents and multifunctional ingredients that eliminate the need for preservatives, and these techniques have helped to broaden the range of options without the need for new preservatives.
Personal Care spoke to David Koehl, marketing manager of Troy Corporation to leam more about how this sector is tackling the various challenges presented by regulations and the consequential impact on innovation.En ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fo67ZlcbwstbzCNXi_z3-X_P-knsjnCY/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=27907
