Résumé : |
The Pole Européen de Plasturgie has been involved for a number of years in sustainable development initiatives, notably via the "Natural Polymers" project, whose purpose is to study the use of renewable resources for applications in plastics processing. As part of a task force, the Pole has worked with manufacturers in agribusiness and in plastics processing to develop the natural fibre compounds of the future. This partnership combines know-how in production and preparation of agricultural fibres at the industrial scale, specifically adapted formulating and compounding procedures, and in plastics converting and processing, as a way to overcome the existing obstacles and to be able to propose materials with optimum properties to the market. |
