It is expected that the system which has been selected on this basis of which would last 5 to 10 years in a corrosive environment. In this paper, an attempt has been made to highlight some advance accelerated testing methods which are being considered as standard test methods globally for selection of paint systems. In fact, opaque polymers are best understood if they are considered as pigments, because they perform a similar function as that of the pigments. In this review paper we can get an idea about, opacity and its principle; scattering of light: effect of particle size; air voids and its theory; crowding effect; structure of opaque polymer; application and formulation guideline details; benefits of opaque polymer. Langues : Anglais (eng) Tags : 'Matériau revêtement' 'Peinture poudre' Durcissement 'Rayonnement UV' Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : With rapid growth in industrialization, the use of conventional solvent based coating systems have increased manifold. This has resulted in irrecoverable damage to the environment, and moreover very high % of this coatings are lost in the line causing huge economic loss and polluting the environment. This has led to the development of more environment friendly and economical coating systems. Thermosetting powder coatings to a large extent satisfy the above requirements of zero or very less VOC. But they have a limitation with respect to application on substrate, since they can be applied on only non-heat sensitive substrates like metals. This limitation can be overcome by using UV curable powder coatings. This paper deals with the advantages of UV curable powder coatings over conventional thermosetting powder coatings and provides us the most eco-friendly coatings with wide applications on different heat sensitive and non-heat sensitive substrates like woods, plastics, metals, etc. Note de contenu : - CURING OF POWDER COATINGS BY USING UV LIGHT - Radiation curing

The digital revolution has transformed many aspects of our lives already and this transformation will continue. Not only will it continue, the rate of change will increase, as innovations multiply and new synergies develop
There are other developments taking place as well and I would like to present an overview on what I feel the ink industry has to face and how it will affect our future. I would like to concentrate on the following paints : Digital printing, plates, press design, print substrates, reduction or elimination of alcohol in offset printing, radiation curing inks, water washable offset inks, environmental concerns and cost considerations.Note de contenu : - Digital printing
