Titre : Novel approaches to the generation of data bases for computer-match prediction in leather dyeing Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : W. R. Dyson, Auteur ; M. A. Knight, Auteur Année de publication : 1991 Article en page(s) : p. 14-21 Note générale : Bibliogr. Langues : Américain (ame) Index. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : Instrumental Color Management is now well established for shade passing,as is Computer-Match Prediction(CMP) in finishing. The application of CMP to leather dyeing, however, still poses problems. These include:
(i)Inaccurary of data bases derived from laboratory dyeings
(ii)The large number of dyes,tannage/retannage systems and application methods in commercial use.
(iii)Dyestuff incompatibility e.g., rates of uptake, penetration and chemical interactions between dyes.
Color variation due to dyestuff instability and interations has been investigated and has led to the identification of dye combinations which give rise to pack-to-pack color variation and, hence, the failure of CMP systems.
Further studies are investigating the development of CMP laboratory-derived data bases which reproduce bulk performance and the reduction of dye inventories to a small number of compatible,substrate-tolerant dyes.En ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1VEgRO1sTxfJ_mtGfEyA1z4G0A6XYfO8r/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=8590

In the presence of such monomers, the concurrent application of an olefinically unsaturated dyestuff and a colourless vinylic monomer gives coloured leathers having a partially fatliquored handle. The effect of several process variables on the fixation of the polymer by the leather are discussed. Note de contenu : - SITE OF GRAFTING

Already performance levels are comparable to those found on many commercial solvent based systems. There is every likelihood that these levels will be increased. Chemical costs are likely to be substantially less than with conventional spray finishing of solvent diluted lacquers. Savings on chemicals are greater than the increased capital investment necessary for the roller-coating equipment which we believe is an essential pre-requisite for the industrial application of UV-curing finishes by the leather industry.
