However, PPMMs are highly hydrophobic and the water permeability is terrible, which enormously obstructs the applications of PP membrane in water treatment. In this work, PPMMs are modified by a chemical crosslinking method, and a crosslinked hydrophilic coating layer is formed on the membrane surface, which greatly improves the hydrophilicity and permeability of the PP membrane. The water flux of the modified membranes is about 350 L·m−2·h−1 (the pressure of 0.2 MPa). The water contact angles are reduced to about 10°, and compared to unmodified membranes, it is reduced by 90°. Meanwhile, the flux repeatability experiment of the modified membrane proves that the crosslinking agent improves the stability of the membrane. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometer are employed for the characterization of chemical properties and morphological variances of original and modified membrane surfaces. The results exhibit that the groups such as C–O, O=C–O, and O–C–O are introduced successfully to the PP membrane surface. To improve the thermal stability of the dyes, a hydroxyl functional group that could react with blocked polyisocyanates was introduced into the dyes. The prepared dyes had absorption maxima near 500 nm, and the chromaticity diagrams of all synthesised dyes exhibited smaller x and y values than those of CI Pigment Red 254, indicating that the colour of the synthesised dyes was close to an orange shade. The dyes reacting with blocked polyisocyanates showed extremely high thermal stability compared with analogous dyes not reacting with polyisocyanates. Stabilité thermiqueIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Phosphorus-containing liquid epoxidate polybutadiene (PDCP-LEPB) is synthesized and used as a reactive additive to improve the water, wear and fire resistance of UV-curable acrylate coatings containing nano-SiO2 as a filler. The structure of PDCP-LEPB and the curing condition are confirmed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The addition of PDCP-LEPB should be controlled at around 10% as shown by thermal stability measurements; with the addition of PDCP-LEPB, composites show earlier degradation to release flame-retardant components, and thus the fire resistance of plywood is improved when its surface is applied by the composite coatings containing PDCP-LEPB. Besides, the fire protecting ability can be greatly enhanced with SiO2 addition due to the synergistic effect of P, Si and Cl coexistence in the matrix. The addition of PDCP-LEPB improves the water resistance of plywood as reflected by the water absorption rates, contact angle measurements and stain resistance test due to the hydrophobic nature of olefin backbone and increment of crosslinking density; the addition of nano-SiO2 has a much more positive effect on the improvement in their stain resistance and wear resistance due to the increase in surface roughness and stiffness, respectively. ThiolsIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : New strategies for synthesizing click chemical reactions have been studied and widely used in the synthesis of functional polymers. In this paper, based on thiol-click chemistry, thiocarbamate bonds and thioether bonds were introduced into the polymer skeleton, and then pentaerythritol tetraacrylate (PETTA) was introduced into the system to form an interpenetrating network structure (IPN). A new type of waterborne poly(thiourethane-urethane) acrylate (WPTUA) coating with strong toughness, high hardness, and rapid curing was obtained. Under the condition of an organotin catalyst, a WPTUA composite dispersion was prepared by using isophorone diisocyanate and polycarbonate diol as monomers, 2-dimethylol propionic acid as a hydrophilic chain extender, trimethylolpropane tris(3-mercaptopropionate) (TMPMP) and PETTA. The molecular structures of intermediate waterborne poly(thiourethane-urethane) (WPTU), WPTUA oligomers and UV-cured polymers were investigated by FTIR spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy. The effects of the content of TMPMP and PETTA on the properties of WPTUA, including dispersion stability, thermal properties, mechanical properties, water resistance, hardness, and toughness, were investigated. It is found that when the WPTUA dispersion has 16 wt% TMPMP and 28 wt% PETTA, the prepared films have high hardness, significant water resistance and good thermal stability for coating applications on delicate substrates, such as paper, plastic and wood. The results showed that increasing the weight ratio of HEA/BA led to a decrease in the average particle sizes and a narrowing in the particle size distribution, but an increase in the viscosity of their emulsions. Meanwhile, their films showed increased thermal resistance, adhesion on substrate, tensile strength, and hardness, but decreased water resistance and enhanced wettability. When the emulsions were applied in two-component coatings, their water resistance was greatly improved and the wettability was reduced; in addition, their glass transition temperature, thermal stability, adhesion on substrate, tensile strength, and hardness were further increased. It was suggested that hydroxyl groups of PUA can not only engage in the intramolecular and/or intermolecular hydrogen bonding, but also form covalently crosslinked networks with polyisocyanate in their films.
