For its drawbacks of poor water resistance and thermal stability, acrylate polymer has been improved by several methods. The first use is to introduce a fluorine/silicon-containing monomer into the polymer. A highly hydrophobic emulsion film is prepared by high electro-negativity and low surface energy of the fluorine monomer and the Silicon monomer realises crosslinking between molecules, through self-hydrolysis and polycondensation processes and converts the linear form of the polymer molecules into a network structure to increase the degree of crosslinking of the emulsion. In recent years, a crosslinking system has been introduced into the emulsion polymerisation system. Studies conclude that the application of crosslinking monomers and crosslinking agents can effectively achieve outstanding properties in water resistance, thermal stability and mechanical stability. However, reporters have seldom been shown in public about preparing self-crosslinking long fluorocarbon acrylate polymers. |
