To pre-empt the ever more stringent construction standards, the architecture firm Dumont & Legrand is open to working with experimental types of materials, as we discover in this project using hemp contrete, a composite that differs somewhat from those we usually report on. Of course, composite materials as such also have their attention, but the lack of knowledge and communication on the subject are obstacles that the composite industry must work to overcome if it is going to become established in the building & construction sector. |
