Résumé : |
Biocides are an important ingredient for in-can preservation of water-based paints, as the authors explains.
There has been a continuous increase in the toxicological, ecological and regulatory demands in the use of in-can biocides in the paint industry. Toxic components, such as heavy metals, xhich were once part of paint formulations, have already been banned in most countries. Many existing actives, such as formaldehyde, have been gradually phased out of the system. Biocide manufacturers are facing increased expectations over 'sustainable antimicrobials' in recent times. |
