Résumé : |
The alternative pigments Boruvit and Muscovite mica reach, at least, comparable anti-corrosive properties as MIO. The performance in corrosion protection of the alternative pigments was officially tested and con firmed by the IIKS Dresden. Boruvit is a sustainable recyclable product with high UV absorption, while Muscovite Mica has a higher lamellarity as MIO and a low salt content. The alternative pigments open the way to a wide colour spectrum with optically uniform results, minimise abrasive wear during spray application and lower application cost. The lower density of these pigments leads to higher spreading rate and lower consumption, and the lower sedimentation of paints containing alternative pigments improves workability.
