Here, based on the piezoresistive effect, new kinds of flexible pressure sensors have been realized from a pair of flexible and biocompatible collagen films: one is coated by silver nanowires (Ag NWs) and the other by interdigital electrode, respectively. The collagen films are regenerated from leather waste and could bring economic benefits to society. The prepared pressure sensors are applied for voice recognition and human motion detection. Transparence (optique)Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : An ambient-curable hybrid resin (ACHR) terminated with trimethoxysilane functional groups, synthesized through a simple ring-opening reaction between 3-glycidyloxypropyltrimethoxysilane (KH560) and 4,4′-methylenebis (cyclohexylamine) (PACM), was applied to the surface of a transparent organic polymer to produce a robust, flexible, and transparent protective hybrid film, moisture cured at room temperature. The structure, morphology, and optical, mechanical, and thermal properties of the obtained hybrid film were evaluated. The hybrid film allowed the transmittance of more than 87% of visible light (at 600 nm), maintaining almost the same high transparency as bare PET film. The unique flexible segments and rigid segments in the inorganic–organic hybrid structure of the film realized superior resistance to bending and scratching. The hybrid film-coated PET demonstrated excellent flexibility, with an extremely low bending radius, illustrated by wrapping around a 1-mm mandrel bar without cracking. In addition, the hybrid film exhibited superior pencil hardness (of 2H) and excellent wear durability, i.e., no scratching after being subjected to 200 abrasion cycles using #0000 steel wool under a 19.6 kPa load. The robust, flexible, and transparent protective film developed here, and its simple and efficient preparation method, should have extensive application prospects. Note de contenu : - Materials

Véhicules électriquesIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : The development of components for battery electric vehicles (BEV) is governed by many criteria related to energy, materials, and cost issues, as well as environmental requirements. The integration of photovoltaics in exterior automotive components such as roofs, hoods, doors and trunks plays an important role in meeting these goals. Common solar parts are made from silicon-based semiconductors encapsulated in thermoplastic films and finally integrted in glass, for instance in roooftop module applications. The innovation presented in this paper comprises the integration of non-encapsulated flexible solar films in fibre-reinforced plastic parts through the HP-RTM process - successfully evaluated on Audi's series carbon fibre rooftop.

The fibres in the grain layer lie more parallel to the surface and are denser than the supporting reticular layer where the angle of weave is much higher. The severing of the bonds between these layers at their junction results in leathers with a loose grain and a poor break.
To produce soft tight leathers, the aim of tanners is therefore to maintain the integrity of this junction, and to specifically fill the intermediate zone between these two layers as needed without undue hardening.
Underfed and older animals have a greater tendency to yield leather with poor break. Thus hides from well fed cattle benefiting from good husbandry.
In general, when the leather is thinner and firmer, a poor break is less noticeable. However, the world's greatest demand is for softer, thicker leathers with tight grain, thus the great technical challenge is to produce these leathers with "third world" hides.Note de contenu : - PRESERVING THE GRAIN/RETICULAR JUNCTION : Swelling in soaking and liming - Deliming to wet blue
