Tannage -- DéchetsIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : Modern tannery waste treatment is an extension of the effluent treatment sector that exists beyond the leather industry. Expertise that is appropriated for the leather industry is either innovated inside the leather industry or is external technology that is used inside tanneries.
Tanneries are well practiced at wastewater treatment and have invented new methods for treatment, given a set of operating conditions with which they must meet and within the by-laws (and national laws) by which they are constrained. The levels of permitted release vary due to the sensitivity of the elemental flow from the treatment plant to a natural system. For example, South African rivers are long and are prone to salinisation sensitivity, thus the release of total dissolved solids, especially sait, is restricted. A similar situation exists in Australia. Short rivers, like some of those seen in Europe mean that sait is less of a priority.Note de contenu : - Old ways

Surfactants -- BiodégradationIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : Although there have been many discussions of the need for and development of biodegradable surfactants, ranging from oversimplified news accounts to the highly detailed technical paper, it is felt that there is a need to deal with the nature of pollution itself and the relationship of surfactants to the nation's overall waste disposal system. Accordingly, we shall look quickly at the nature of wastes, waste disposal, types of pollution, and the nature of surfactant pollution. Then we shall progress to the subject of biodegradability - what it is, how it is measured - and finally examine the qualifications of commercially available types of biodegradable surfactants. Tannage -- DéchetsIndex. décimale : 675.2 Préparation du cuir naturel. Tannage Résumé : Some of the basic properties of tannery sludge were examined by using GC-MS, atomic absorption spectrophotometry and other methods. The effect of enzyme pre-treatment for tannery sludge was studied. The results showed that the alkaline protease 2709 and neutral protease As.1398 can effectively prompte the soluble chemical oxygen demand of tannery sludge.
Alkaline protease 2709 enzymatic pre-treatment can promote anaerobic digestion of tannery sludge. It can increase the rate of decomposition of organic matter by 23.01 %, and increase methane gas production by 144.89 %. Used together with ultrasound pre-treatment alkaline protease 2709 and can promote anaerobic digestion and increase the rate of decomposition of organic matter by 65.63 % and gas production by 425 %.Note de contenu : - EXPERIMENTAL PROCEDURES : Materials - Experimental methods - Testing and characterization
