PhotoréticulationIndex. décimale : 668.3 Adhésifs et produits semblables Résumé : UV-curable PSA systems have been available for years. In this time the interest in the market has grown steadily, but slowly. There are a number of reasons for the reluctance to adopt this technology on a wider scale. Certainly, the limited range of raw materials and generally higher prices compared with conventional PSA materials has been a limiting factor for growth. However, continued interest from end users indicates there are opportunities for UV-curable PSAs. Note de contenu :

Spectroscopie laserIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : A low cost in-line monitoring detector for UV curing processes has been developed, using discrete NIR wavelengths to detect the degree of acrylate conversion. The laser system compensates for changes in coating thickness and is effective down to a coating thickness of 20 µm. Thus it can be used for quality control in high throughput UV printing processes. Note de contenu : - NIR spectra show entent of acrylate conversion
- Sensor system design is robust and flexible
- Compensation for thickness and substrate variations
- Discrimination increases with thicker films
- Extensive practical tests are plannedEn ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yDLhkKw4Scb3CMB2-EomL8EcFlAKlsrZ/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=40217

- Begin with basic research
- While soma acrylates can easily withstand intensities of higher than, 2000 mW/cm2, the limit is exceeded at 100 mW/cm2 for others.
- Less is sometimes more

XénonIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : The cure rate of a high gloss overprint varnish was compared using a standard medium pressure mercury lamp and a high intensity xenon chloride lamp. Samples with equal photoinitiator concentration cured at a much faster rate using the xenon chloride lamp. It was found that the concentration of the photoinitiator could be greatly reduced and still give rapid rates of curing when the xenon chloride lamp with peak output at 308 nm was used.
