Silicones -- Emploi en cosmétologieIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Butters are very commonly used in personal care formulations. Butters are divided into two classes, those that exist in nature, including shea butter,' cocoa butter, mango butter, lilpe butter and several others or those that are man-made such as olive butter. Butters are structured gels that provide not only a unique skin-feel but also have a great rheology thinning under pressure. There are only a handful of butters in nature, many of the rest are made by partial hydrogenation of the oil. Another approach to make structured gels that avoid partial hydrogenation is addition of alkyl dimethicone compounds to natural oils and esters. These compositions offer the formulator the ability to make a wide variety of structured oil formulations offering a variety that of formulations that not only have a great initial feel and playtime on the skin, but a variety of tunable final aesthetics after rub in. This article will address the basic technology used to make these materials. Note de contenu : - Alkyl silicone

Silicones -- Emploi en cosmétologieIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Dimethicone (and) amodimethicone emulsion (INCI name: Dimethicone (and) Amodimethicone (and) Laureth-23 (and) Polyquaternium-10 (and) Laureth-4 Emulsion) can provide versatile benefits on conditioning (ease of combing) for wet and dry conditions including sensory benefits better than dimethicone or amodimethicone materials alone in both shampoos and conditioners. It could enhance colour protection and hair volumising benefits as well. Moreover it could perform in synergy with cationic polymers such as guar gum and polyquaternium by enhancing the conditioning (ease of combing) and sensory benefits in shampoo. The suitable combination of three kinds of conditioning agents (dimethicone, amodimethicone and polyquaternium-10) forms an emulsion format with unique technology to make a uniform and narrow particle distribution of emulsion. therefore, dimethicone (and) amodimethicone (and) laureth-23 (and) polyquaternium-10 (and) laureth-4 emulsion is an excellent conditioning agent that performs as the super performing conditioning material for hair care applications.
