ViscosimétrieIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : The non-newtonian properties of many materials that need to be ground make the choice of throughput level and bead size critical. Furthermore, the time spent in areas oflow shear rate, such as pipes and hoses, can lead to a viscosity rise and should be kept to a minimum. Technique de la productionIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : In the production of printing inks, the demands for ever Iower prices combined with higher quality characteristics, such as colour strength, brilliance, gloss and transparency, are increasingly contradictory. Added to this is the desire to be able to produce these inks with a higher degree of automation and maximum operational reliability in an absolutely reproducible manner.

Specifically, physical modifications have been developed in part II of the study to obtain a modified tara with a higher percentage of tannins and with a better level of penetration (see Low carbon products to design innovative leather processes. Part I: determination of the optimal chemical modification of tara). The physical modification of tara focused on milling and sieving. The different products obtained have been characterized and applied to leather samples in order to evaluate the degree of penetration and stabilization in the leather structure. Traction (mécanique)Index. décimale : 678.2 Caoutchouc Résumé : In this study, solid-state mechanochemical milling was investigated as a viable strategy to produce high performance blends composed of polypropylene (PP) and ground tire rubber (GTR), thereby providing a potentially new route to recycle discarded tires. The improved dispersion of the blends after mechanochemical milling was confirmed by fluorescence microscopy and polarized optical microscopy (POM) observation. After 20 cycles of milling, the tensile strength of PP/GTR (100/40) blends was enhanced by 13.8%, and the elongation at break was over 12 times than that of the unpretreated blend. The formation of smaller and less ordered spherulites of PP after mechanochemical milling as confirmed by POM observation and wide-angle X-ray diffraction analysis might be the reason for the significant enhancement of the elongation at break. Revêtements poudre:Peinture poudreIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Dispersion of powders into vehicle is a critical component in paint manufacturing and a variety of processing equipments are available to do the job. Among them, those which use grinding media (media mills) are of paramount importance. Understanding the grinding mechanisms operating in these mills and the factors influencing their operational efficiency is essential while choosing processing machinery for a particular application. In addition to that, knowing about the various types of grinding media, their pros & cons, mechanism of energy transfer by the media into the mill base and various factors which influence the same would be an added advantage. This article strives to provide the reader an understanding on these, thereby enabling an appropriate choice. This review article discusses media mills and milling media under two distinct sections.
