Revêtements en phase aqueuse:Peinture en phase aqueuseIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : A choice of eight non-chromate commonly used corrosion protective pigments has been tested in polyurethane organic and waterborne primers with the application of diverse physicochemical, corrosion and electrochemical methods. A clear dependency was found between the efficiency of barrier and active pigments on the barrier properties of coatings toward water and ions. For barrier pigments conditions of reduced penetration of water and ions through the coating are more favourable, for active pigments a limited diffusion of water promotes their corrosion protective efficiency. It was also possible to differentiate between efficiency and mechanism of action of single pigments and conclude about the correlation of applied methods. Nanotubes de carbone à parois multiplesUn nanotube de carbone multifeuillet est constitué de plusieurs feuillets de graphènes enroulés les uns autour des autres. Il existe deux modèles pour décrire la structure des nanotubes multifeuillets :
- le modèle poupée russe: les plans de graphène sont arrangés en cylindres concentriques ;
- le modèle parchemin: un seul feuillet de graphène est enroulé sur lui-même, comme une feuille de papier.

Then, the TCNTs enhanced epoxy coatings were applied on sintered NdFeB magnets by cathodic electrophoretic deposition method for corrosion test. The corrosion resistance of prepared specimens was assessed by electrochemical experiments. The results show that TCNTs hybrids present a more homogeneous distribution in epoxy resin than pristine CNTs and could obviously promote anticorrosion properties of prepared specimens. Within 36-day soaking in 3.5 wt.% NaCl solution, the specimens maintain a high value of |Z|0.01Hz (108 Ω cm2) when the concentration of TCNTs is 2 g/L. When immersed in 3.5 wt.% NaCl solution for 40 days, the Ecorr of specimens shifts to − 0.207 V and Jcorr is about 5.281 × 10−11 A cm−2, which demonstrates superior corrosion resistance. Spectroscopie d'impédance électrochimiqueIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Waterborne coatings have gained more and more attention as a method to protect the environment. However, the application of waterborne coatings to metals, especially for sufficient long-term protection in harshly corrosive environments, is still limited. Here, we report a self-curing waterborne coating with good corrosion resistance. First, a self-curing waterborne epoxy resin (SWEP) was synthesized by a chemical reaction between the epoxy resin and titanium diisopropoxide bisacetylacetonate in water. The structural characterizations via Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and 13C nuclear magnetic resonance spectrsocopy confirmed the successful preparation of the SWEP resin. Differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetric analysis showed that the SWEP resin could be cured by heating without the use of any curing agents, and the cured coating exhibited good thermal resistance. The mechanical properties of the cured coatings were discussed in the context of the corresponding standards. The results confirmed that the physical properties of the SWEP coating were as good as those of a traditional two-component waterborne epoxy resin (DCWEP) coating. The chemical resistance analysis revealed that the water, acid and alkaline resistances of the SWEP coating all have significant improvements compared to those of the DCWEP coating. The electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and potentiodynamic polarization test implied that the SWEP coating provided better corrosion protection for metal substances than the DCWEP coating. Spectroscopie d'impédance électrochimiqueIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : This article reports on a comparative study on the corrosion resistance of low-carbon steel substrates pretreated with different silane solutions and painted. The pure silanes used to pretreat the steel panels were 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (?-APS), 3-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane (?-GPS), and bis(3-triethoxysilylpropyl)amine. The study also considered other silane solutions with ureido, amino, and epoxy organofunctional groups, and two bis-functional silanes: bis(?-trimethoxysilylpropyl)amine (BAS) and 1,2-bis(triethoxysilyl)ethane (BTSE). A conventional phosphate-type pretreatment was also applied for reference purposes. The pretreated panels were then finished with an alkyd/polyester aminoplast base paint. As a branch test, an acrylic/urethane paint was also applied. Different tests were conducted to evaluate the anticorrosive ability of the different silane/paint systems: outdoor exposure in an atmosphere of moderate aggressivity; accelerated corrosion test (salt fog test); and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The results show that the steel pretreated with certain silanes, especially ?-APS, yields similar results to steel subjected to conventional phosphate pretreatment.
Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Composite coatings were fabricated based on a graphene oxide–metal oxide/urushiol formaldehyde polymer (GO–TiO2/UFP, GO–SiO2/UFP and GO–Y2O3/UFP) system with modifications, and its effectiveness in corrosion protection of metal substrates was demonstrated. First, a GO–TiO2 composite was synthesized using titanium dioxide loading on GO via 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES). The GO–Y2O3 composite was synthesized using nano-yttrium oxide intercalating into GO through two different silane coupling agents. The GO–SiO2 composite was synthesized via an in-situ two-step sol-gel process utilizing APTES and tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOS) in an aqueous ethanol solution. The morphology and structure of the GO–metal oxide composites (GO–TiO2, GO–Y2O3 and GO–SiO2) were studied. Subsequently, GO–metal oxides were incorporated into UFP to investigate the composite’s effectiveness in corrosion protection of metal substrates. Compared with GO–TiO2/UFP and GO–Y2O3/UFP, GO–SiO2/UFP showed superior alkali-resistance enhancing performance. Additionally, GO crosslinked with APTES–TiO2 via covalent bonds and the well-dispersed GO–TiO2 in UFP improved the electrochemical corrosion properties of the UFP coatings, most likely due to the obstruction of the diffusion pathways inside the UFP coating matrix, thus preventing the diffusion of penetrating species. It was revealed that the corrosion resistance of GO–TiO2/UFP composite coating was noticeably higher than GO–SiO2/UFP and GO–Y2O3/UFP composite coatings.
