Qualité -- ContrôleIndex. décimale : 667.2 Colorants et pigments Résumé : The use of fluorescent pigments and colourants in a broad range of applications has experienced sustained growth over the past few decades. Research and development efforts continue in the pursuit of more thermally stable, more light fast and plate-out resistant fluorescent colourants, with greater tinting strength and opacity. As these qualities are achieved and improved upon, we should see the use and growth of fluorescent pigments and colourants into more diverse applications well into the future.

Polyéthylène glycol d'AllyloxyIndex. décimale : 668.1 Agents tensioactifs : savons, détergents Résumé : Allyloxy polyethoxy ether (APEG) and succinic anhydride were used to prepare allyloxy polyethoxy carboxylate (APEL). 8-Hydroxy-1,3,6-pyrene trisulfonic acid trisodium salt (PY) reacted with allyl chloride to produce fluorescent monomer 8-allyloxy-1,3,6-pyrene trisulfonic acid trisodium salt (PA). APEL and PA were copolymerized with maleic anhydride (MA) to synthesize the PA tagged, phosphate and nitrogen free CaCO3inhibitor MA-APEL-PA. Structures of PA, APEG, APEL, and MA-APEL-PA were obtained by FT-IR and1H-NMR measurements. The observation shows that the dosage of MA-APEL-PA plays an important role on CaCO3inhibition. The effect on the formation of CaCO3was investigated by a combination of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) analysis. The relationship between MA-APEL-PA’s fluorescent intensity and its dosage was also studied. Correlation coefficient “r” of MA-APELPA’s fluorescent intensity and its dosage is 0.9997. MA-APEL-PA can be used to measure accurately the polymer consumption on line besides providing excellent CaCO3inhibition. The dye was characterised by proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, high-resolution mass spectrometry, ultraviolet-visible absorption spectrometry, and single-photon fluorescence spectrometry. The prepared dye was applied to wool fabrics to give fluorescent orange shades. The colour fastness of the dyed wool fabrics was tested. Results show that dyed fabrics using the novel hemicyanine fluorescent reactive cationic dye could be used as fluorescent clothing. Solutions aqueuses (chimie)Index. décimale : 667.3 Teinture et impression des tissus Résumé : A simple benzothiazole-based fluorescent probe (TDA) for the determination of Hg2+ ion in aqueous solutions was synthesised in one step and characterised by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, APT, COSY, FTIR, and elemental analysis. TDA shows a significant fluorescence change upon the interaction of Hg2+ ion in DMF–water (v/v = 1/1), while only minor changes in fluorescence intensity are observed with 18 other metal ions. Fluorescence enhancement by a factor of 15 is achieved upon selective interaction with Hg2+ ion. The Hg2+ ion detection process is found to be pH dependent; therefore, TDA could be feasible within a pH range of 4.0–7.0.
