Now we are going to learn about Epoxy Putty / Filler and Adhesives etc. There are used in machine tool industry where ultimate smooth finish is required. It is used as a Dent filler also. In foundry industry this product is used in mass scale popularly known as masala lappi / foundry seal on casting. Also in floor coatings it is used as create coat. It is used to stop leakages in Dam walls. In Jewellery industry solvent less epoxy clear sealants are used, which are popularly known as Meenakari work.

Rouge (couleur)Index. décimale : 667.2 Colorants et pigments Résumé : The authors explain how two five membered heterocyclic rings serve as the basis for red and rubine shades.
With the addition of high performance red shades and newly developed rubine pigments. Clariant's Pigments & Additives Division is investing in a promising field. The high performance diketopyrrolopyrole pgments (DPP's) are suitable for automotive and industrial coatings, plastics colouration and sophisticated printing applications.
Ever since the American chemist Donald G. Farnum discovered DPP's in 1974, they have become th emost important pigments for single-coloured red automotive coatings. DPP's were found by chance. Similarly other important chance discoveries started the industrial production of colorants (see box).Note de contenu : - DPP pigments can be used for a wide array of applications

Pigments inorganiques
Vanadate de bismuthIndex. décimale : 667.2 Colorants et pigments Résumé : This article deals with Bismuth vanadates' high performance yellow pigments and their applications.
Commercially available since the mid-1990s, Bismuth Vanadates(BV) pigments have been a huge success. They derive their dynamic power from their excellent properties in application and their competitive price to performance to ratio. Compared to P.Y. 83 and/or complex inorganic colour pigments (CICP) bismuth vanadates may be initially costlier but have been found to carry a significantly higher tinging strength and much cleaner shade. They dominate the bright yellow end of the colour spectrum and have shown to be a colour evaluators' first choice to replace leaded pigments, often at a 1:1 ratio in existing formulae.
Global demand for BV is estimated to be around 3000t/yr of which 90% is used in the coating industry (eg automotive, decorative, OEM and industrial). BV's use in powder coating and coil coating markets is increasing rapidly. To date, most of the developmental work has focused on bringing out BV with more specialised/customised properties for several applications to meet customer demands. For the longer term, R&D is concentrating on issues such as higher stability with heat and chemically aggressive resins.
Brufasol Yellow AL 2300, 30 and 40, produced by Bruchsaler Farbenfabrik GmbH & Co KG in Bruchsal, Germany, are brillant greenish to reddish yellow bismuth vanadates pigments. They exhibit good hiding power, tinting strength, temperature stability and the highest levels of weather resistance. Most importantly, BV's are environmentally-friendly alternatives to lead chromate pigments.Note de contenu : - Bismuth Vanadates in production

Traction (mécanique)Index. décimale : 677.4 Textiles artificiels Résumé : With the development of innovative yarn structures and the required technologies, the ITM proved that highly oriented, homogenously blended card webs, slivers and high-performance hybrid yarns from recycled carbon fibers (rCF) can be produced for load-bearing composite components. In addition, the technical challenges and the technological lirnits of the production of high-performance yarns made from rCF could be shown. This provides the opportunity to transfer the ITM-developed process chain for hybrid yarn production at reproducible quality into industrial application. Furthermore, the research efforts allow a transfer of the findings in the next step for a requirement-adapted yarn production from pure rCF for thermosetting applications, and from other high-performance fiber materials.
