The Xenon lamp has an emission wavelength profile close to daylight. In most (but not all) dye suppliera' pattern cards, the values reported are for dyeing on full grain chrome leather. It should be clearly understood that the lightfastness rating obtained will change significantly depending on the type of leather and amount of dye applied. Résistance au lavage
Solidité de la couleurIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : Fastness of the colour of leather to hand washing is the resistance to washing under mild domestic laundering in water. When washing leather, changes in colour can occur not only in the leather, but coloured substances may bleed from it and may stain adjacent textile materials.

Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, a fixation test, extraction with boiling N,N-dimethylformamide, and a colour fastness test certified that DHEASPBr-C2 was linked to the cotton fibre through covalent bonds. The results showed that dyed cotton fabric using DHEASPBr-C2 had an obvious fluorescent effect in the range 550–700 nm, and the emission peak location was 588–590 nm. In addition, the dyed fabric met the EN471:2003 standard for chromaticity and could be used in high-visibility warning clothing. Teinture -- Fibres textilesIndex. décimale : 667.3 Teinture et impression des tissus Résumé : The main objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of bio-mordants versus metal mordants in terms of colour measurement, colour fastness, and antibacterial properties of a natural dye extract (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) on the cotton fabric. Accordingly, some bio-mordants including tannic acid, pine cone, lemon peel, and sodium alginate, as well as some metal mordants such as iron(II) sulphate, copper sulphate, zinc sulphate, and aluminium potassium sulphate were investigated based on three conventional mordanting procedures (pre-, meta- and after-mordanting). The method appropriate for H. sabdariffa dyeing on the cotton fabric, according to the colour fastness factor, was found to be the after-mordanting method. The bio-mordants used in this study, the same as metal salts, increased the colour fastness on the dyed cotton fabrics and produced excellent light fastness (rating of 5 to 6), wash fastness (rating of 4 to 5), and dry/wet rub fastness (rating of 4 to 5). The higher antibacterial activities (> 90% bacterial reduction) against Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa were observed when tannic acid, pine cone, and lemon peel were applied to the dyed cotton fabric. The use of bio-mordants in the natural dyeing of the cotton fabric could be, therefore, recommended due to the biocompatibility and non-toxicity of natural mordants, along with excellent colour fastness and appropriate antibacterial properties.
- La corrélation des solidité des cuirs à la lumière solaire et aux lumières artificielles ;
- L'influence de la constitution des colorants mis en oeuvre ;
- L'influence de la nature du support cuir ;
