Langues : Américain (ame) Index. décimale : 675.2 Préparation du cuir naturel. Tannage Résumé : A new compound, N-Thioureidopyromellitamic acid, has been synthesized from pyromellitic dianhydride and thiosemicarbazide, and used in pretanning along with glyoxal to improve chromium uptake. The results show that the pretanned pelt has a higher shrink temperature than conventionally processed pelt and subsequent chrome tanning results in a significant increase in chromium uptake, and thus the chrome offer in conventional chrome tanning can be reduced in large amounts. Furthermore, because of higher shrink temperature of the pretanned pelt, the initial temperature of two stage chrome tanning is raised and thus a much higher exhaustion of chromium is obtained at the elevated tanning temperature. The handle and the physical properties of pretanned crust leather are not much different from those of crust leather made from pelts that were not pretanned. Tannage Résumé : A new pretanning agent (HTPA) for high exhaustion chrome tannage 2,4-di-(1-hydroxymethyl-1, 2, 4-triazole-5-thione)-1,5-phthalic acid and 2,5-di-(1-hydroxymethyl-1, 2, 4-triazole-5-thione) -1,4-phthalic acid, has been synthesized from pyromellitic dianhydride and thiosemicarbazide. Its reaction with pelts and its effect on chrome uptake have been studied by applying it to delimed sheepskins and goatskins. The results show that HTPA reacts mainly with the amino groups in collagen to form crosslinks and that the reaction depends on the pH, temperature, time and amount of HTPA. Pelt pretanned with HTPA possesses a higher shrinkage temperature than control pelts. Subsequent chrome tanning results in a significant increase in chromium uptake, thus the chrome offer in conventional chrome tanning can be reduced significantly. The handle and the physical properties of pretanned crust leather are not too different from those of control crust leather.

Tannage Résumé : A new compound, N-thioureidopyromellitamic acid, has been synthesized from pyromellitic dianhydride and thiosemicarbazide, and a condensate has been prepared from this compound and glyoxal. We have investigated pretreatment with the condensate prior to aluminium tanning. The results show that the pretreated pelt has a lower shrinkage temperature than conventionally processed pelt but subsequent aluminium tanning results in a significant increase in shrinkage temperature. A white leather with good thermal and dyebath stability, as well as higher strength, has been obtained using the pretreatment with a citrate-masked aluminium tannage. Note de contenu :

Teinture -- Fibres textilesIndex. décimale : 667.3 Teinture et impression des tissus Résumé : Colour, the first element of quality control of textile products, is a complex subject relating to physical optics, psychology, and the human visual system. Colour matching remains one of the major problems in the textile industry. Mélange yarn is a class of textile product with a specific colour appearance, which colour is mainly affected by colour matching of the dyed fibres and their ratio for spinning rather than by the dyeing process. The existing colour matching models for mélange yarn derived from specific types of fibre or specific spinning processes are restricted by the adopted conditions and parameters of the model, resulting in low universal applicability and low accuracy. In this paper, a spectrophotometric colour matching algorithm based on the back-propagation (BP) neural network and its processes were proposed. The weighted average spectrum was predicted by a BP neural network, followed by recipe prediction from the weighted average with constrained least squares. The results showed that the average colour difference of practical samples, based on the prediction of nine blind testing targets, was 0.79 CMC (2:1) units if more than two a priori training samples were used. This result indicated the capability and practicality of accurate prediction of colour matching for top-dyed mélange yarn by this novel method.
