Too often this means that less productive and/or less effective surface preparation occurs, which can shorten coating system life spans or adds to the frequency of repainting. This article explores methods and materials that have been adopted by a major Australian offshore oil and gas field operator to reliably clean and prepare surfaces for coating. Fig. 3 : This shows a zone that has been UHP waterjetted to remove the rust and paint followed by sponge abrasive blasting to SSPC-SP 10 (Sa 2½). Note the small containment used to shroud the sponge-blasting operation and the minor degree of flash rustingEn ligne : http://www.paintsquare.com/archive/?fuseaction=view&articleid=6135 Format de la ressource électronique : Web Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=29500
